Which is the better bet ?
Optimal lotto strategy would be to play 25 unique numbers if you only have 5 lines to work with. This would improve your odds of having the winning numbers among those you are playing. You can't win if you don't have the winning numbers. BobP

SuperLotto Plus $90 million winner never played CA lottery before
Unless they are 18 I don't beleive it. Odds are the person just doesn't want their parter to know how much was spent to get that winning ticket. Still I'm sure it was less than what they won in this case.

How about yours?
For me it was about $200 for the year and all of that was spent when the jackpot was over $200 million. We have five lines of numbers on each ticket and it's easy to notice how many tickets don't even have a 1 number match. Without a mega ball match we have to match 3 numbers just to win 7 bucks. The amount of the jackpot might justify buying 40 tickets but the overall odds of winning anything is 1 in 40 so in reality we should expect to have 39 losing tickets. The jackpot winners in the late

South Georgia couple wins $270M Mega Millions lottery jackpot
I agree with Coin Toss. Even though any combination of numbers can win, seeing all low numbers like this is extremely rare. I don't track PB or MM, but I can't find a single combination in FL that doesn't have one number in the 30s, 40s or 50s. I just glanced at all the winning Lotto combinations picked so far this year, the 104 picked in 2007 and the 104 picked in 2006, the 104 picked in 2005 --- and I can't even find one! Plus, keep in mind that our state Lotto has less than 1 in 23 million od

Mega Million System
First of all I have to agree that the lotteries will never be shut down - just as the casinos have control over their odds the lotteries have to have some kinda control over what they pay out. But for once I for would like to hear one new idea presented here without all the negative bullspit to go with it. I have not seen and probably never will see one system presented here that had all the answers, however there have been several systems that combined together gave some pretty good fighting

Is statistics method really useful to predict drawing number?
If a system comes close to breaking even, limiting the player lost to very little overall regardless of the amount spent on lottery tickets then I would call it successful. So far, no one has come up with such a system. Even when a player beats the overall odds of winning something, he usually wins one of the lower prizes which covers less than 10% of his cost.

Gulfstream Park Spot Plays 2/24/08
Yes, Adriano looks like he could be a nice horse. I like his breeding. I'll be watching him this spring. Hopefully, I can catch him winning at long odds!

Man arrested after snatching lottery tickets from player
All of that unneccessary headache for tickets that odds were not winners. Trauma for the lady and jail time for the robber. Stupidy knows no bounds.
