3,876 is the number of combinations removed from the 575,757, holding one key number steady and dropping all-odds or all-evens, in the other four. With these lotto style games you're going to need to be either lucky with your number selection, or good at math.

Cheating scratch-offs
The average pay back on a roll is $187.... Sad but true. Where does the $500 come in...
I think the odds are actually determined by the entire number of tickets completely, not on a particular roll of tickets... I've played entire rolls for $ 300 and often only won $ 150 to $ 190... However, there have been times that I've played an entire roll for $ 300 and ended up scratching $ 700 in winnings... This is what leads me to believe, that the odds are based on complete # of tickets fo

Don't buy lottery tickets for kids, researcher warns
When I was in Preschool, no lie, they has us playing Bingo. We had also a Bingo hall across the street from our house. I would go with my parents and root for them to win as I was promised a small share of whatever they won.
I became fascinated with the game and how to calculate the odds.. Like the odds of inside round-robin with certain number of I, N, G called. When waiting for 1 number how many others would be based on the called numbers? It made me become better at Math.
Nowadays I on

Texas students rank USA lotteries
The problem that I have with the study is that it appears to be a sociological study analyzed by students in a statistics class. Once you decide on your critria any kind of data can be evaluated mathematically, and it's perfectly valid as a class exercise, but it's not any kind of mathematical evaluation of the games. I'd certaimly like to see more information from the lotteries and better websites, but neither of those has anything to do with how a given game compares to another game.

Which is the Smarter Bet?
Whether you want to live in the house or can afford to live in it are just one piece in figuring out how much you're really playing for. Even if you were already planning on buying a 400K house, you aren't playing for achnace to win that much, because ypou'll be paying taxes on the value of the house. Other than actually shopping for the house, the most optimistic scenario would be reselling it yourself for its fair value. More likely you'll lose about 20 grand in fees to a real estate agent (th

TN's new $20 Scratch off.
That's terrible. You're right, they are greedy. I would never play a $5 ticket with odds >1:3.3, $10 >1:3.0, and $20 1:2.9. But I'm biased toward FL,GA,SC, and some of KY.

Florida Lotto rolled once more
The odds never change. They are always 1 in 23 million. It's true that more people buy tickets when the jackpot is high, but it has no effect whatsoever on whether or not your numbers will be drawn. Still almost all Florida Lotto jackpots are won by a single ticket. (sometimes the winner is a pool, but it's still a single ticket) Good luck!

OLD Method revisited as fantasy plays continue
The caveat with VTRAC is you're covering 2x2x2=8 times as many STR as non-VTRAC. The more combinations you generate the better your odds with or without a system. Make sure your backtest accounts for this, that is you still have to beat the 50% takeout (breakeven being one STR every 62.5 draws) using VTRAC. The goal is to win more than you spend.

Which is the Smarter Bet?
A hundred dollar raffle ticket is too steep for my budget. The odds are of course nice, but I don't think I could put 100 dollars down all at once on one ticket. I would rather stretch that amount over time on Powerball/Hot Lott/Wild Card 2.
