Will you play
Maybe.
I thought it was a religious question too, since convenience stores are open, so there's no reason to think you won't be able to find a retailer selling them. Although the odds are still the odds, there's probably less of a chance you might split the jackpot when less people are playing (no?) I notice that on Sun here, Fantasy 5 always has the lowest jackpot than on other days of the week (Fri Sat are the highest) and sometimes there aren't any winners at all on Sun (like this p

Most lottery players never see big payoff
I dont think you need to tell lottery players that chances are youre not going to hit the jackpot... We all know by the odds that probably not, but as long as you have 1 CHANCE, you got one more chance than the guy who dont play... Its kinda like lightning hitting you...most likely you wont get hit by it...but tell that to the 1000's with burnt shirts and shoes!

Most lottery players never see big payoff
When the overall odds of winning any prize are 1:40 or worst and most of those prizes are $1-$2, most players think they are lucky if they get back a dollar for every $10 spent when they don't win the big prize and they are.

I can fully appreciate why you feel that way and I fully respect your opinion. You are not alone on this forum. There are many members who feel there is no way to reduce the odds and they are right.
I am not one of them and here's one reason why.
Take the sum of any P3, P4, or P5 numbers. There are only two outcomes, either the sum is odd or the sum is even. If we go no further than this, we have divided the playing field into two halves. Guessing which ha

Do you really think...
If you don't play, you can't possibly win. However, I've been trying systems, birthdays, quick picks and different games in different states for over 20 years and I've never won a jackpot. The odds say if I am reincarnated I can play for 10 more lifetimes and never win. But, yes, I believe it's possible or I wouldn't play .... and I hope it happens soon.

Confidence
I would never say something is impossible if there's a chance of winning, just unlikely if the odds are great. PB and MM have astronomical odds. Our Lotto game is 1:23M so, I recently began to play pick-5 and FL is 1 to 36. 1 in about 370K combinations compared to 146M or 170M sounds much easier to hit, right? If I spend $2 every day ($60 a month) on this one game I will spend more than $720 at the end of the year. That's more than the cost of a new computer or a new TV or several new suits or

POLL: Motivation for playing
With good odds of winning nothing, players are happy to win anything but most, including me, play to win a jackpot. Now that the the MegaMillions jackpot is $155M ($70.2 cash), many will be joining their co-workers and friends to form lottery pools hoping to improve their chances of winning a jackpot.

Should one play if they have others feeding them
quite a bit of people who are broke tend to get in that vicious cycle of playing the lottery because they feel that is there one hope to get them out of poverty.they then spend whatever precious resources they have chasing odds that are not favorable to them.
