Hoosier Lotto
I was only comparing the odds of winning the money prizes. While PB prizes may be twice the size the the HL prizes they are more than four times harder to win.

small multi line lottos
If you are willing to play and win a few bucks, then these are not so bad. $5, $25, $50 for getting some of the numbers. Mostly this looks like a means of saying Nine ways to win or whatever. Those odds of getting 5 across .. not encouraging. I really don't like not having the option of choosing all my own numbers. Makes me feel like the fix is in.

Frustrated
No - most - combinations are losers that will never show up. Think about it. In my state lotto (Florida) the odds for 6/53 are approx 1 in 23 million. So if I keep playing my 4 combinations (which I have been doing for about 13 years) forever and ever, there are still well over 22 million others that might be drawn. Since most combinations never repeat RJOh, I agree, so then I wonder if it's because the odds are so great or the Lottery checks eliminates them during a pre-test

Pot Size Prediction?
Anyone with sense will always weigh the risk against the reward. You're not risking much with a $1 lottery ticket, but wouldn't you prefer to risk it on a bigger reward? If you had the choice to buy a $1 ticket for a game with a $3 million prize or a $1 ticket for a game with a $5 million dollar prize which would you choose if both games had the same odds? Now suppose the choice was to get one ticket for both games or two tickets for the one with the bigger prize. Which would you choose? Mayb

Pot Size Prediction?
Lots of people only play the lotteries when their jackpots are large. If you're only going to play a few times, why play when the jackpota are small? Like you say, the odds of winning the jackpot are the same regardless of its size.

Restaurant workers split $4 million lottery jackpot
Since I have already stated that I NEVER play pools, then my chances of winning have NOT been reduced.Besides the true odds of either of us winning is...slim to none.

Restaurant workers split $4 million lottery jackpot
I wasn't replying to the first post. I was replying to what you said in the post I quoted, and I repeated the specific part I was responding to. I'm sorry if it still wasn't clear enough. You're focusing on keeping it to yourself but ignoring that you have to reduce your chance of winning in order to do it. If you're reducing your chances of winning then it very clearly is about odds.

You seem to be completely missing the point about this thread.Read the first post in the thread... its about sharing,or rather not sharing.Contrary to what you think, every post is NOT about odds.
