Any luck in PA (or surrounding states?)
Sorry Guys. PA Lottery Scratch off tickets are dead and dead forever. I have been playing scratch off's since there was only a $1 ticket (1988). Today's tickets are absolutely horrible compared to years past. The only thing you need to do is check the odds. In the past odds for $10 tickets were one winner in 3.04 tickets. Today they are almost one winner in every 4 tickets. This all started to go sideways when the PA Casinos opened. The lottery knew that the casinos would take a big slice of the

An Interesting Raffle Question
The answer to how many draws on average would it take to win a prize (I am assuming that means any prize ) is what they call the overall odds . Pretty much all raffles will publish that number somewhere. If the overall odds are 1 in 20 (for example) than it would take 20 draws on average to win a prize. I'm sure you know this, but the two people you quoted from the other news story are incorrect about how odds work. This topic has come up many times over the years, and I have patiently tried

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hey JACKPOT - I agree that $20 DOUBLER # 1322 is the best game to play for $500 - but the odds for $100K are 2.52 M - where the odds for $100k on GR #1249 are 448 K - quite a difference if odds mean anything to you - not to be out shadowed by #1322 - the odds for $500 on GR 1249 are almost the same. When I look at the odds I first think - there are 13,000 retail outlets - what are my odds of hitting a decent prize when I am first faced with that number of retailers to pick from.....what's you

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Georgia has a $20 game with odds of 1 in 720k at winning $2 million. The odds of hitting $7k is also 1 in 14.4k on this game. Yes, the odds at hitting the low tier prizes suck, but who here would be interested in playing a game like this in Florida? Imagine if Florida decided to make a game like this at the $20-$30 price tier with great odds of hitting $1M-$2M. They probably could have made the $30 game have odds of 1 in 500k at hitting $2M, or something like 1 in 250k-300k at hitting $1M if the

I used to win more
Well, it is one thing if the numbers prove it. Typically they make these statements without evidence justifying them. That California Second Chance drawing offering an additional top prize is a cool way of dishing out money. I would like to see lotteries recycle unclaimed prizes in this manner, or allocate those additional funds to education (which some are already doing). The FL Lottery isn't very transparent when asked these types of questions. For FL, they recently introduced a new $25 tic

HOT DIGIT ?? or something more?
Back to basics, the odds of any pair for each UNIQUE draw is 1/100, this odds remains constant, any draw history will not change the odds.

I need help with odds calculations
Right, but just making the point that filtering out the 50s and previous draws or other numbers doesn't change the odds at all. Combine the odds of your conditions occurring with the odds of being right within your remaining numbers and you are back to the same odds you started with. Its more a mind thing than anything else. Taken to the extreme, if I filter out everything but one remaining combination of numbers, I have increased my odds of winning to 100% if my conditions have been met. Sti

Are there people unaware of the megaplier and power play option on MM and PB?
Congratulations, you finally figured out the almost 259 million to 1 odds against winning a MM Jackpot much higher than the odds against matching five numbers!!! A much better comparison of game odds is comparing the Lotto Texas $16.3 million cash value jackpot to the odds of matching five numbers to win $1 million. Granted the almost 26 million to 1 is 43% higher than the 18.5 million to 1, but the prize is over 16 times more. Personally if I was looking for better odds for $1 bet, I'd pl

Will we ever see a double win?
Just do the math, (the odds of winning Magamillions) x (the odds of winning PowerBall) x (the odds of winning both on a specifics day).
