Michigan Lottery to debut $50 'Super Raffle' tickets
The most expensive ticket in the Michigan Lottery's 35-year history goes on sale May 7, offering the best odds ever of winning a $2 million top prize. Tickets for the Super Raffle game will cost $50 each, and only 250,000 will be sold. In the June 18 drawing, two players each will win $2 million, 25 players will collect $100,000 each and 4,500 will get $500 apiece. But will folks balk at the unprecedented $50 ticket price? We don't think that's going to be a problem, Lottery Commiss

If you found a....
There have been cases of people finding 100K+ in the trash and turning it into the cops. About half the time the cops keep the cash even if no one claims it. Odds are it would be drug money and you would have to be very careful since your life would be worth far less than that amount of money to criminals.

Working a story about lottery winners - can anyone here speak with me?
jameswhite You asked, -Why is it fun to purchase lottery tickets, knowing how long the odds are? Because it's the working slob's only real hope of ever making a score, getting out of the 'rat race'. It's been said the only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth. Most people do the jobs they do solely for the paycheck. Very few get to be creative , they just do the same job every day, over and over and over, by rote, ad nauseam. Even some people who are fortunate enough

Would you travel to an "anonymous" state JUST to buy lottery tickets?
I voted for the choice within one hour but then changed my mind. I don't know if, at almost $3 a gallon, it would be worth the expense, considering the odds. I can't change my vote now, so I guess that's my final answer. LOL I understand what you mean about the importance of remaining anonymous, but I'd learn to deal with the problems associated with winning a lottery rather than travel very far. If I moved quietly away from this neighborhood, nobody would really know me anyway. I know GA

Michigan and its insatiable appetite for cash
If they can sell those tickets then there must be a market for them. They aren't meant for everybody for example some people wouldn't spend $1 on a pick3 ticket with odds of 1:220 of winning $49 and others won't pay $1 for a PB or MM ticket if their jackpots are less than $50M.

scratch-off tickets experiment
I have bought a book of $10 tickets before. I made sure the odds and payout were good. The largest winner I got was $30. Out of the $300 I only got back $190. So I'm not sure if the book would be a good idea.

scratch-off tickets experiment
Ok. Judging by the odds, and taking into account that you will likely not hit any of the top prizes, you are likely to win back approx. $150. In other words, you will likely lose at least $100 doing this. It really isn't worth it.

Going to give Pick 5 a try. Do you play midday, evening, or both?
Hmmmmmm, I'm not so sure about that. I'm talking about a system for Pick 5 that's getting down to Pick 3 odds, and it's $1 for 2 sets. Muahahahahaha!!!!!

After months of pounding numbers calcu.....
There are lots of lottery games with overall odds of winning a prize of 1:10, so if you're willing to buy 30 chances each time, you will probably win at least one prize($1 or a free ticket) every time. Ohio Rolling Cash5 and West Virgina Cash25 are just two of such games.

Tennessee Million $ Madness
