Mix & Match the end?
Who said it was a she? I was thinking about emailing the lottery, but I really don't care much about the game to do so. The $2.00 price tag kills it for me, even if the odds are a lot better. I just find myself playing $2.00 a lot less because it costs too much to use systems. However I still like LFL better, and would prefer a lifetime of checks over the starting one-time $50,000 payout which would be gone immediately.

Have u ever heard of anything crazy like this...
The $500 he won was found money, so how is turning it around on more lottery tickest any different than blowing it on something else? If he plays a couple of bucks a day on numbers he'll spend about $700 a year and he can expect to winback $500 every year and a half. Using that $500 to play PB or MM when it's really high is a better strategy than spending $5 on each draw regardless of what the jackpot is. Yeah, the odds are still extremely high that he's just throwing it away, but they're sti

Question
What are the odds of having all 5 numbers and the bonus ball equal to California Super Lotto Plus [5/47+1/27] from Mega Millions [5/56+1/46] and Powerball [5/55+1/42]? Note all 5 numbers have to be less than or equal to 47 and the mega bonus ball has to be less than or equal to 27. I need to know the exact percentage to answer my math question.

which is best--powerball or mega millions
Even pick 3 is great if you win. As far as I'm concerned MM has PB beat hands down, but that will change as soon as PB has a jackpot that's a lot higher than MM. The odds in both games are high enough that there's absolutely no realistic chance of winning, so the better game is the one that will pay more if I happen to get incredibly lucky.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased to $216 million
It's funny cause there was just an article that said people aren't playing as much as they used to. I still insist that more people play when jackpots are higher, we all know that there are slim odds, but when the jackpot is steep, what's a few bucks? People spend over $5 a day on cigarettes, so that's pretty much how I justify spending $10 on large lotto drawings. Someone's gotta win right?

strike the lotto
I would love to see a breakdown of the total household incomes of all lottery players, tntea...I suspect that a great majority of the tickets are bought by those you call the uned . This is solely based on what I see in the local retailers, so I have no validation of it. But it also follows that those people would think they are playing against the other players rather than against the mathematical odds, which don't change even if they would be the only person playing the game.

Free LOtteries:Are they good?
How are the free lotteries drawn? Are they RNG? And can you pick numbers or it has to be QP? How much SPAM(R) would flood my e-mail vs. what are the real odds of winning? How many pages of questions must be completed before you get your first play?

how would YOU change the payouts?
Do you have any clue what the odds are in pick 3 and pick 4 or for getting 4+0 in PB? Last I checked, the lottery was designed to turn a profit, but I guess your plan is to just give money away?

Lotteries long for 'jackpot fever'
Double the ticket price and cut the odds in half and you may accelerate jackpot growth. What will change is people who spend 1 dollar will be forced to spend 2 dollars in order to play and this would speed things up quite a bit. However, what kind of backlash would occur is the big question. If people accept the higher ticket price then the game would be faster paced, if not then the game could remain slow of even be hurt.
