Georgia's New $20 Scratcher
I think I would buy a ticket given the odds 1:3. Could be a lot better considering a $10 Jumbo Jumbo Bucks ticket is 1:2.5. However, I can't argue with the payouts. Given the fact that I'm a broke college student, I dont see myself playing this game anytime soon.

AMAZING: Minnesota man wins back-to-back lottery jackpots
Good for him!! I'd love to win just one $25,000 jackpot. The odds of winning one Northstar Cash jackpot is about 1 in 170,000. Regarding a pick-5 game: the odds shown for Florida Fantasy 5 which has 36 numbers is 1:377,000 The average jackpot is $250,000. Sometimes one person wins, but often there are 3 or 4 winners. Obviously, the population here makes a difference, since there have been as many as 15 or 20 winners (although that's unusual) splitting one jackpot, especially if the

Company proposes new pooling lottery ticket to fight 'jackpot fatigue'
Petition Tennesee/North Carolina to join MUSL Hot Lotto. If it comes to either state, the jackpot probably would have longer odds by then.

% of Population Which Play the Lottery?
i picked less than 30% because i think that most people think that the odds are so high that it is a waste of money to play. i am just going by my own life , none of my friends play . i would guess that probably about 50-60% have played at least once. i think that most of the lottery tickets are purchased by the same core group of people in a paticular area with a scattering of tickets purchased by new players .

Lotteries long for 'jackpot fever'
I agree. The big jackpot lotteries have such ridiculously long odds that more than a buck or two on them isn't worth it, no matter what the jackpot amount is.....besides, I don't need a hundred million dollars to retire and live confortably. A couple of million pre-tax would be plenty. I don't have a desire to be that extravagant.

Lotteries long for 'jackpot fever'
I believe the reality of the long odds of winning are hitting home. Once upon a time I played $5.00 a draw, now I play $1.00 a draws. I live in NY state, as far as I know their has never been a MM Jackpot winner outside of New York City. The majority of second place winners, are also in NYC. The why bother factor has kicked in for me. I really see myself this time next year not participating at all in the lotteries.

would you buy tickets if price went up
I've already cut back what I spend in Florida because I can play the AU games online for half the price at better odds, but smaller prize, though large enough to solve all my problems money can cure. BobP

best overall lottery
I checked Other because it's the one that I win. Since I began buying lottery tickets, I've lived in MA, NH and traveled through other states, but I really just pay attention to the jackpots and the winning numbers. I wouldn't care if a game had plain white tickets, crappy advertising or had the most unattractive people on Earth draw the numbers if I won a million dollars. I just care about the odds and that the game is honest fair.

would you buy tickets if price went up
Quit. The odds are so high to begin with, and to pay more money, and not win anything worth while, would be a kill joy. I'm just looking at my 1.00 win from the nylotto drawing from last night. I'm ready to throw in the towel on all the lotteries.
