Male nurse wins record German lottery jackpot
My life would change drastically for the better, but still within certain limits of course. One house and two cars is all I would ever need. But I would definitely live very well because it would be pretty stupid to sit on such a large jackpot and do nothing, especially considering the odds that you have to beat.

Mega Millions Number Strategy
Like you, I did as well as one might expect from a random distribution of numbers. If I assembled a list of more than 170,000,000 numbers, I would expect there to be a 70% chance roughly of winning, if the numbers I picked were random. If I took 5 years picking numbers at a rate of one per second with the proviso that no set of numbers were repeated, my chances would be almost 100%, but of course it is impossible for anyone to actually do this. It is also impossible to predict lottery nu

Super Hot Lotto 2010
CASH Only, I think HL should increase the matrix if it keeps expanding. The odds of winning a jackpot should be higher than 11 million to 1 (current).

HIT Big
Not entirely, but not as much. I would probably concentrate on Big 4 and cash 5 then for the better odds, as I would have more to spend using my systems just for the fun of it. Better yet that I would not need to depend on a win to change my life, and losing would not be as hard on the wallet.

Lottery addict screams at judge, 'prison won't help'
No doubt that she demonstrated bad behavior and should be punished. But her activity also showed just how bad the odds are stacked against the average player. To gamble away literally millions with nothing to show for it should give people a good perspective that the lottery should be played for fun only and not seen as a viable retirement plan.

PB lower odds = greater payout than MM??
One can calculate an expectation value, which is the potential reward vs. the risk (i.e. the odds). In general, if the cash values are equal, the expectation value for PB is better than that of MM. However this is not always the case. The expectation value of either game seldom rises above 1.00, at which point the game is considered a good bet. Because of long odds, such a value is only approached when the jackpot is in the $300 million annuity range. It is not possible however to as

New game in SC this autumn
The Carolinas probably don't have the population base right now to make a bi-state jackpot game work. It would be better if NC and SC joined a longer odds (currently 1:11 million) Hot Lotto.

New PA Game - Mix And Match
Sounds interesting. I like new and unique ideas, but the odds are still going to be pretty enormous even with smaller ball sets. But should be fun anyway. I will have to try it for awhile to find out. I just hope they drop the $2.00 price tag. I don't mind annuities, depending on the amount. I will only go for cash options over million, preferably $2 million.

probability types
When it comes down to it, I don't think Hot/Cold exists either, but you have to chalk up the 'chance' to something, I guess. The Trends I talk about are, if you have had no 'longshots' hit in the last two games, the 'trend' is that one is due, and the historical facts bear that out. I speak of 'well, this has happened in the last two games, what are the odds of it happening again ?' Or, 'what are the odds of two real longshots hitting in one game, or two games in a row ?'. Not

What was the deal with Powerball?
The probability of 7 and 8 coming up in consecutive drawings is about 1 in 15,000, but since it had to happen the first time for the second time to be noticeable, the probability is only 1 in 123. What's really astronomical is the odds that dealing out the 52 cards from a standard deck of cards would result in the specific order you deal, but every time you do it you'll see that extremely unlikely result. If the 7 and 8 hadn't repeated this time people would simply be thinking it was unusual wh
