Steve Irwin/ Croc Hunter Dead
reminds me of grizzly man and mr chocolate. this guy was just plain dumb. the odds of getting killed by a grizzly are much higher than getting done in by a sting ray.

May as well call it Bingo...
I just realize something..I realize that the present day lottery are more like Bingos....In bingo, you pick some cards with some numbers and if you match them you win..In Mega million since most people play quick picks, the computer select the numbers (bingo cards if you think about it), and it you match the numbers you win... Yeah a person gets to chose his/her number if he likes, but the odds are so high, picking one's own numbers if futile...I think that picking ones own number doesn't not

oklahoma cash 5 is a joke
Since a ticket cost $1, the state would argue that a free QP is the equivalent of $1. But in reality, the lowest cash prize the state pays is $10 for a match3 with the odds of winning of 1:81.1 which means one would need 81 of these free QP to earn $10 cash which means a free QP costs the state about 12 in real cash.

Oklahoma Cash 5 lottery game on sale today
Thanks for the informative posts regarding the new Oklahoma Cash Five game. As Todd points out, our lottery is young, having been launched in October 2005. It sounds like the top prize is lower than in many states, but the lower tier prizes are higher. Many more will win those, so I guess it balances out. I think the game will do well with a $25,000 (after tax) top prize. The top prize for our Pick 3 is only $500. Of course the odds of hitting a straight in Pick 3 are about 1 in 1,000,

Is there a secret to winning?
floridian, I'm really not much of a scratch-off player, but I do purchase a few of them from time to time. I think $100 is the most I've ever won; therefore, I can't claim to have any special knowledge about the scratchers. I do know some people who play them with great regularity, and these are the things that they claim help them to win more and win more often. Whether large or small, buy from a lottery retailer that is known to sell a lot of scratch-offs.Whatever games you play, buy at

Ohio Rolling Cash5 is on a roll again
RC5 continues to roll to $509,000. With odds of 1:575,757 it's almost large enough to have a 1:1 payout of the jackpot. I've never seen a lottery jackpot get beyond that point.

Florida Lottery Fantasy 5 ez match is it fair?
I'm wrong. It's not random. This is after reading Duckman's post about the subject. Duckman is correct in saying that if it was random, each chance to win would have be equal to hit 500 bucks, but now I do remember that it is predetermined, considering the odds are over 210,000 to win 500 bucks.....LOL

Fed up with the SC Lottery web site
Unfortunately zero errors and government employees tend not to go together often. Odds are it's not someone you'd not hire yourself. I'm sure it's similar to the fine people running the Florida website (assuming it's up).

Pencil and Paper Jackpot Calculations
My program does exactly the same you described. I play 4 numbers only because the odds are better. I find that if 1 comes then most of the time, the difference between the first and second, second and third and third and fourth number is 2;1;2 so based on the latest 3000 draws of massachusetts keno if 1 comes up then i figure 1 3 4 6 is the most propable combo of four numbers.

5 years too late.....
That's why you are better off playing quick pick instead of spending all of your free time banging your head on the wall trying to beat such astronomical odds. The person on Lottery Post who was closest to winning a jackpot was EZ Money, when he won $100,000 on a Powerball Ticket, and that was a QUICK PICK! The lottery games are totally random, and the numbers that you pick might only show up on a pre-test and may NEVER even show up on a real official drawing.
