Priorities
Since the MegaMillions game started, 64.5% of the winning numbers haven't included a number from the previous drawing. Eliminating any numbers in your number pool is a gamble, but most players can't afford to cover what might happen 100% of the time. Playing the lotteries is just like any other type of gambling, the players try to give himself the best odds of winning based on his knowledge of the game.

Super Hot Lotto 2010
HL is starting to become like the late Lotto South (matrix too small.) Of course, Virginia's 6/49 in 2001 became LS without enlarging the matrix. (It can be argued that GA-KY-VA Lose for Life itself is too small, since Lose for Life is 6/42). At some point (and probably soon,) the MUSL members offering HL, including the state to be named later, need to change the jackpot odds, which currently are 1 in less than 11 million.

Super Hot Lotto 2010
It's O.K., but it kind of defeats the purpose of Hot Lotto, which is to provide moderately high jackpots for realistic odds of winning. What they should do is make it a pick-6, or at least a 4+1.

Changes in Mega Millions
ryanm, I agree about the megaplier idea for all states except for California because they're pari-mutuel and it's gets too messy. Remeber, California had one ticket won about $1.4 million by matching 5/5 in August 2005. My request is to increase the odds by adding 6 more MBs to 52.

Formula for not winning lotteries
Formula for not winning lotteries
using methods that have been used for years without success.
Good point, though adapting some of those methods to things that mightn't have been tried might help. New slants on old methods and strategies kind of thing.
Wait to everyone has posted their plays. Then wheel what they have not picked.
I think a person would do a lot better playing picks by, say, Lucky, or RJOH, or Padawan, or LottoMike, or bellyache, or tntea, probably others that don'

Formula for not winning lotteries
I often get quickpicks along with formula tickets and find the quickpicks can do better. I don't know if any method would really lower the odds that much on jackpot style games other than shear luck.

Changes in Mega Millions
To add insult to injury dvidva about the Mega Millions hitting at 31 million, the combination was 14-29-32-43-49 MB 14. The first time MM jackpot was hit with a double number since 2003 and the first since California joined Mega Millions. I think they need to either increase the number of MBs back to 3rd version [52] and keep the number of WBs at 56 or increase the price to $2 with same odds.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot won ... again
The current MM is barely a year old (when California joined.) It's too soon to raise the odds again. Before the year is over MM will be producing big jackpots again.

Take 5 New York
Take 5 has the best odds of winning than any other NY Lotto games. Why is it that the most I hit was 3/5? That averages $22. What can I do to hit that 5/5?
