Current Jackpot Runs #2
My vote is for Mega Millions. With the odds at 176 million, it's very hard to win the jackpot. In fact, their first rollover set a new roll 1 record. PB won't get new roll records.

Sales for new Texas Lotto starts today
You think the lower-tier prizes for the new Lotto Texas are bad? Go to www.nylottery.org and check out the payoffs for NY Rotto, which has slightly better jackpot odds.

Bonus ball bounced by Lotto Texas
Survey after survey, respondents report I want to win more money more often - jackpots are nice but I want to win . California had a great result when they went to a two-field format. But in my experience, people really play for the big win. If you wnt to win more, smaller prizes, why would you ever play lotto games when you can buy scratch tickets?
Brad is right - the norm is to lose netween 30 and 35% of in-state lotto sales when you bring in a multi-state game.
Low annuity factors, the

13 State Employees to Share $224 Million Powerball Lottery Jackpot
Ha! No extra money coming my way. It just strikes me as odd that many people hold lotteries to a different standard. I guess it is because they are owned by the states and we are all owners of the state. But kind of like yellling I pay your salary at the police officer who writes you a ticket.
I see comments like If they were not the lottery, the AG would be on them for fraud (or whatever). What? I just saw a Best Buy TV add selling a 42 inch plasma screen that is sure to keep yo

Lose for Life/Unlucky for Life
To tell you the truth I'd be happy with $5k/week if that was one of the prizes. Problem with those kind of games are the odds are poor in relationship to what the prize is worth.

$50 scratch ticket
$50 scratch off tickets better have a payback of at least 80%. I dont think there needs to be huge prizes like 500k a year for life involved with them. I would rather see prizes like 100-250k where the odds of winning those are in the 100k to one ballpark, and not the millions to one that so many states (especially ny) have to get their top prize.

Reach $300m in these current runs
Looks like the correct answer is none. Mega millions is just another mega disappointment. Yet another run failing to go to 300 million. Amazing a game with those odds only cracked the 300 ceiling once and never rolled past the 300 level.

WOW ! winning jackpot system at last!
Even doubling the odds of matching 3 on the average in 35 lines doesn't eliminate the big factor of just being lucky. Some players believe luck is such a big factor that playing more than 1-5 lines is a waste of money and custom picking your lines is a waste of time. I feel comfortable picking and playing 25-30 lines and risking 25-30 dollars for a chance to win it all when the jackpot is 100M dollars or more.

WOW ! winning jackpot system at last!
That's really impressive. Doubling your odds is a real accomplishment. Hopefully you can get all 5.
