The odds of matching 3 in MegaMillions is 1:306 so normally I would expect to match 3 with 35 lines 11.5% of the time. Winning any jackpot would pay 25X+ what I made working 35 years, so I don't wait for those $200M+ jackpots to play.

If you save it for pots above 200 it should be ok. What would be the normal odds for matching 3 with 35 lines covered?

I've been trying to predict a winner with my homegrown software. I play MegaMillions more than I do RC5. Back testing and real time experiences have shown that I can expect to match3 27% of the time with 25 to 35 lines. While that may be beating the odds, I can still end up in the poor house if I don't watch my budget.

Black Jack has the best odds! Keno has the worst. Live Poker is fun just for entertainment stakes if you play at some of the low limit 2/4 cash games which I doubt the Bellagio has, lol!!

I always thought Mega would add FL if FL joined a multi-state game. For those wondering it looks like the post-tax cash prize is around $26 million. Still a great prize considering the odds.

what are the odds
one day last week I had two different people give me thier phone numbers and both numbers had the same last 4 digits.... I don't feel confident enough to play the 3 or the 4 digit games, but felt I should try these numbers..... I played the digits straight and boxed and asked for an easy pick as a third ticket..... the easy pick ticket was the same numbers that I had selected...... is that strange or normal???

If they lowered the number of combinations though, they'd have to have a pathetically low starting jackpot. A $6.9 million guaranteed cash jackpot with odds of, say, 18 million to one, would put many lotteries in the red, and you can't win a bankrupt lottery.
