Powerball lottery jackpot raised to $117 million
I bet the IRS kick back in their cushy chairs and laugh at the players thinking they are actually gonna take that jackpot amount advertised home. It is quite sad what they are doing to people. Everything someone beats a 1 in 150 million odds or whatever, so do they. Not ONCE but every time! I think everyone in the workd should boycott the IRS, not win for life games.

Lotto South v Lose for Life
Actually, in Tennessee we had a Win for Life scratch off that i think payed out $1 million dollars over 20 years and I don't think the odds where anywhere near the 5 million to 1 that this goose egg has layed. Oh well, this is my final rant on the subject.

Does hindsight have you frustrated?
Match 6 (6/49) is not too bad, being you get 2 free lines. But lucky for life has the best odds here, 6/38. But I get way more pay back usually then LFL in small prizes added up. I don't play cash 5 much, unless it is over a million. But you can bet you will be splitting it then 2-5 ways if you hit. Not how I want to celebrate my first, and maybe ever jackpot win.

How to win more lotto for less money.
The odds of winning a lottery are such that you could make up a list of a million never do and they would right almost 100% of the time, just buy a quick pick and you won't have to worry about the never do list.

New FL Fantasy 5 is BOOMING
Quote: Originally posted by Tnplayer805 on March 25, 2006I have a question about EZplay. If you win something and cash it in are the numbers still good? The retailer tried to keep my ticket but I demanded it back. (Not sure about it)
Yes, the numbers are still good for the Fantasy 5 drawing. If you have an ez-match win and cash it before the Fantasy 5 drawing, the terminal will print a new continuation ticket (which has your original numbers on it). The clerk keeps the original ticket with

$50 scratch ticket
I voted this year because nothing surprises me any more. Even if I had a lot of extra money I wouldn't buy a $50 scratch because I don't like the instant loss. It's an attitude I guess. Even when I had a good job I wouldn't spend $20 on one ticket. However, I think some people might buy a $50 scratch ticket, depending on the prize and the odds. What I don't really like is that at least with every online game, each person who buys a ticket has a shot at winning. Sure, someone who purchases 50

win for life
Yeah that game isn't one of my favorites but hey go for it. I wouldn't play more than I could afford to lose. I really don't like the high odds for a $2 ticket. Like fxterling said there are lots of top prizes still out.

johnph77...where did your learn math ?
I hope so, too. My email is back up but no response from the professor, yet. I should probably get an agreement between johnph77 and GuessWhat that they would accept the professor's answer. I thought about also asking him if buying 2 PowerBall tickets cut my odds of losing in half, but I was afraid that he would not take my question about 0!=1 seriously so I let that one slide.

Cash $ 7 million difference PB MM
The odds of winning with PowerBall are a little better because it has fewer numbers but that doesn't change the fact that MegaMillions sell more tickets. Both games are awesome which makes it's less likely that players in states that have one of them will travel out of state to play the other unless the jackpot is a record amount.
