Mega Millions Cash Value on the 7th
Guessing the jackpot, sales and odds of a rollover are also fun and far more likely to be right than guessing the right numbers. If this forum was only posts of winning lottery numbers it would be empty.

should i stop playing or keep playing
I agree with the members suggesting $1 a draw on those astronomically high odds games....keep it fun, stay in the game and save the rest of your money for other entertainment. Many people have won those games with one ticket.

Most Matches Only
I think it would be interesting to see the payouts if the top payouts only required 3 out of 5 for the paramutuel split. If you got 4 or 5 out 5 it wouldn't matter. Yeah, no huge pay offs, but maybe a decent pay off for reasonable odds.

should i stop playing or keep playing
try spending just 5 a day.that would give you a lot more to do something else with.the odds are so high it won't make much of a difference.i do think 20 dollars a day is too much at first.....

If you are going to buy 46+ tickets.....
I spent $40 a couple times playing all the SAME powerball, and one time I got the powerball correct. I thought then that one of the 40 lines had to be a jackpot winner, but still only got 2 plus 1 as the best. It sure was fun checking them all, and had some very close odds. But the powerball pay off was sweet. ($120) Have not tried it again since.

lottery superstitions and habits
Doesn't your lottery allow you to mark two numbers and allow Quick Pick to select the rest? Mark several tickets that way, any time your two numbers come in the odds are pretty good of a #3 win at least. BobP

Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased to $256 million
Guess the odds were against me. I did hit the $3.00 megaball on one ticket though! Eat your heart out!

Texas lottery players want to get rid of 'bonus ball'
It seems in states that joined Mega Millions or Powerball, their state lotto lost sales and jackpots rarely reach $10 million. Most people don't care if the odds are a factor of 10 worse, as long as the jackpots are a factor of 10 bigger. States with Mega Millions or Powerball should drop their local Lotto games completely and that would put even more $ into MM/PB jackpots.

Imagine if you won PB and MM
Imagine winning the powerball every single draw for several months, if not longer. You want to talk about mad people, imagine all the conspiracy investigations that would be going on. New laws would probably go into effect after that limiting you to only a certain amount of jackpot wins. Now we are talking beyond astronomical odds, but I would take that publicity any day.
