Jackpot winner!
Rollovers, after $40-50M are self defeating. They take money out of the population pool and put it all in one pool. Reducing every ones odds for winning. More lower jackpots.

The most important question on LP
I am not going to win the lottery on a quick pick drawing. Someone will eventually win with odds of 176m:1...it just won't be me.I like to study the numbers, to see if I can get some sort of edge, and maybe give myself a one in a million shot, not one in 176 million.

The most important question on LP
I doubt if any strategy that only pick $10 worth of tickets will ever compete favorable with $100 worth of quick picks over the long haul. It hard to beat the odds.

Powerball Ice Cold...
Yea exactly why I have always questioned their 'odds' of winning. Personally I am not a firm believer in them, and you cannot narrow it down to a definite/exact percentage. It can always go either way, and we can only estimate.

I don't much like the scratchers.

Hmmm... See if YOU can understand this
Yeah I always see the huge garbage can full of nothing but tickets. I am so tempted just to grab it and take it home. I bet the odds of finding a winner in there are actually better than buying the same amount of tickets. I bet you somebody is checking all of them after closing.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot reaches whopping $310 million
yep...., Jackpot burnout! . Don't even know if I will contribute to this Jackpot that someone else will win. I always thought that the MM would be a big one; one year during a holiday like the PB 12/02 was. The day after Thanksgiving would be nice or the eve of Christmas Eve would be nicer. Bigger JackpotThe odds .... well Somebody will be the odd BALL

Annuity/record jackpot
Agree. If I won $310 million along with 30 other people, I wouldn't complain! Obviously the states have increased the odds for most games because they feel more people buy tickets as a jackpot grows. Actually that's true. For some reason people get a lot more excited about the thought of winning $300 million than just $10 million. It's ridiculous.

Lightning or Lottery?
Perhaps my near misses with lightning also explains my one digit misses from winning big. It might take getting struck by lightning to increase my odds some. Well I am off to the roof top with my golf irons...
