New survey destroys myth that poor Americans buy most lottery tickets
Whoa. That was just nasty. The poster says he is on SS disability which they probably got because they worked and paid into social security and then had some life changing disaster befall them. They do not pay taxes because they make so little money on a payout on what is a form of disability insurance. $333 MILLION: Powerball offers up summertime riches
Why would hoarding bring negative publicity? If anything people would say Wow that guy has it right, smartest lottery winner ever!
I'd need to hoard because I'm not old like most winners who receive sweet government freebies like Medicare and Social Security.

Robinson's buy 6.2 Million $ home on 320 acrea in TN
Very nice. Now they just need to add a pool, tennis/basketball court, RV garage and perhaps a mini golf course as well as a security wall/surveillance system around the entire property.
They will now be living the dream.

Strategy for remaining anonymous
First the easy stuff that doesn't have much wiggle room. You're proposing a simple and straightforward financial transaction: sell your financial instrument to somebody else. You'll have an acquisition cost, a selling price, and a gross income from the profit that doesn't qualify for capital gains treatment. In that respect the tax issues are essentially the same as they'd be if you claimed the prize yourself. It will also be the same for the buyer as any other financial transaction: they'll buy

Are you sure you're over 13? Adults discuss using facts. I stated basic facts, you just say nonsense. You are such a child with your WAHH Stop saying facts WAHH . Poor people are poor because rich as holes like you squash and destroy anyone who threatens your wealth and you pay your workers $7.25 an hour. As far as I know all forms of Lottery games have to be purchased with cash.
I could probably drive over and pick up a few more tickets while playing security if you like.

$363 MILLION: Red hot Mega Millions jackpot set for Friday
How would a trust within a trust protect you? Your real name is needed in most states to claim the JP. All a journalist has to do is request it. Moving to another state, changing your name to a common one, updating your records, coming back home but to a different address (or using a homeless shelter one), updating your records keeping your new name, and then claiming your JP close to the deadline using a trust might do better for your anonymity in some states, but still it is not a bullet-proof

if this current MM jackpot were won...
I will write your comment of Financial Freedom down. It explores the meaning of money more then the word, Security, does. Each of us will have more options in life after a win.
The challenge will be to hang on to the money while not being accused of being greedy. I would take that accusation with a grain of salt because everyone has their own opinion of winners.
