Talk about jackpot fatigue
Unlike the jackpot games, pick3, pick4 and scratch-off games have the same odds of winning about the same prize all the time so once a player become interested in one of these games, he's likely to play it regularly. Most states report these are their most profitable games. Jackpot games appeal varies with their jackpots size. Until that size gets big enough to be covered by the local news, a lot of potential players aren't interested.

Talk about jackpot fatigue
It seems that lots of people won't even bother buying a ticket unless the jackpot is huge. But I can't really blame em'. The odds are really stacked against the players.

Buy every ticket?
Do they have a rule saying that you can't purchase every possible ticket combination? Because right now the odds of winning are 1 in 146,107,962, so if you bought all 146,107,962 tickets for 1 dollar each, you would win $164,400,000, which is a profit of $18,292,038.

Is a 400 million jackpot possible?
Well to get a $400 million jackpot, Powerball would have to rollover three more times with a new record jackpot now set. The jackpot will now only go up $25 million after each rollover. It may be possible to hit $400 million but I think the odds would be against it. But then again, with the way gas prices are people may not buy tickets like they did a few years back and now with more combinations to cover, you could have a significant number of combinations not being covered. Who knows?????

Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
I'm curious how a spike in sales would alter the odds. When the prize gets this big sales really start becoming a variable. Sales for the last drawing was 63 mil. It could be 85 - 110 million this time. I always look forward to your projections - keep up the excellent work.

KENO KIDS' Keno Korner
the next step is someone to talk about ways to try and beat keno with their own strategies and suggestions. C'mon folks I know there are secrets that people use such as my own to play no more than a 5 of 20 which will pay $450.00. Anything beyond that the odds rise too much against hitting. Any other ideas to help the keno players? Thanks

Maine woman seeking second lottery jackpot
It was here in MI, and it was 4 out of the 5 people in the drawing for $2 million at the International Freedom Festival. The last drawing they had for it was during Arts, Beats Eats in September, and all 5 people split it. Good odds if you ask me... 1 in 1 for $400,000 vs. 1 in 5 for $2M. But you get a $5,000 appearance fee if you lose, so the people who don't win actually make out better than the person who does win if the pot is split 5 ways.

There are no odds posted on the scratch card, but I'm sure that they are astronomical! Someone was kind enough to email the NY Post numbers for 10/8, so if anyone else needs them, here they are: 10/8 1 2 4 5 9

McDonalds Monopoly Game
Apparently, the odds are like that for the Instant win, too... 1 in about 2.8 billion to win a viper vs. 1 in 448 mill to win a million. Pitiful.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot increases to $77 million
Let's hope it can keep on rolling....Mega Millions is trying to roll past $100m for the 7th consecutive time! The jackpot has not been hit for under $100 million since December 3rd of last year. Something tells me that we're overdue for a couple of smaller jackpot winners, even with the new odds.
