Wow - wow - wow - Euro Millions $94.3 Million CASH
Yeah, that's a big one. But it's expensive. And for you Bill O'Reilly fans out there, Euro Millions is administered by France.I'm sorry, but I'd rather be playing Mega Millions. For the price, the odds are actually better.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot rockets to $172 million
The reality of tougher odds (due to the recent changes to MM) has finally sunk in and lower participation (than expected) from the newly added State (California). Take a look at Ticket Sales by State for 09/06/2005 and you'll see what I mean. (For example: NJ - Population 8 Million - Ticket Sales $4 Million, CA - Population 35 Million - Ticket Sales $4 Million) Do you feel Lucky? Play the Mega Million Lottery!

MM and PB jackpots
Well 20% is far better than what the old odds would have a a chance at a large pot. I sometimes use Powerball sales for an example too. It was very accurate until the hurricane hit then the sales slowed down.

Indiana Lottery has limit for Pick 3 and Pick 4 Numbers
Nobody hit the Hoosier Lottery again. Wonder if its going to go for weeks and weeks and weeks. U know like the 2 times it went on and on and on. I believe the odds of that happening was 1 in 2 billion!

MM random or what Dif??
Mega Millions has the stated odds for each prize. Some site publishes the total dollar (ticket) sales for each drawing. If it's random, the number of winners for each prize should be roughly in line with the total ticket sales multiplied by the respective probability for that prize. It may deviate a little, but it should average out over the long term...

Mega Millions lottery jackpot rockets to $172 million
I would agree. The odds have gone so far out of wack, the numbers of players if going to have to grow (to double what it is now?) so that enough posibilities are covered. I would like to see it break the current record. That would great. WOuld be better if I broke the record - heheheh.

Have you cutback with longer odds?
Sales were starting to recover before the massive spike in gas prices and Katrina hit. If and when gas prices stabilize and the economic impact of Katrina wans than sales should hopefully recover again. People get used to the longer odds over time especially after a massive jackpot helps promote more awareness for the game.

MM at 172 million.
I don't think higher odds has much to do with it. Extremely high gas prices and the largest natural disaster to hit this century have a lot more to do with the decrease in sales in my opinion.
