Lotto South- Potential New Draw Days
The jackpot odds of Lotto South are 1: ~14 million. Given the populations of GA, KY, and VA, 1:24 million probably would be more appropriate. That would mean a 6/53 or 6/54 game WITHOUT adding a state. The South is rapidly growing.

Lotto South- Potential New Draw Days
But they need to be careful with adding more numbers. They don't want to make it too hard, for it's lower odds in comparison to PB and MM are the attraction. And they definately don't want to go to a 5+1 format, or they might find themselves with an even bigger turkey.

Have you cutback with longer odds?
I have had a prize minimum to play since Powerball broke 300 million almost four years ago. Same prize minimum of 300 million but no game has broken that threshold yet. For state games it's lower. I would say that local games switching to computer drawings has turned me off far more than a change in the odds.

MM and PB jackpots
The powerball rolls of late have been under 10 million I was hoping for at least the last two rolls would have been higher than 10 million. I guess with the cost of living from day to day going up their is less for the lottery tickets. Maybe the odds going up had some players set against buying lottery until it is the large jackpots that everyone likes to play for. With it taking longer to grow I wonder if that is in the favor of the player or the lottery.

MM and PB jackpots
The odds might have changed since this unpresidented disaster really is an unknown for sales. There might me more rollovers with less sales per rollover.

Mega Millions Predictions
JKING,Don't be too disturbed about other members who post their numbers and systems and don't come any closer to winning a jackpot than you, after all like you they came here hoping to discover something that would give them an edge. IMHO, lots of players don't come close to picking the winning numbers because of the odds of doing so. Good luck to you.RJOh

Mega Millions lottery jackpot increases to $150 million
It cost me $ 8 to drive across the border to Maryland from Northern Virginia. If I drove a large pickup, it would probably cost me $ 12 to $ 15 for the 60-mile round trip. I can't see blowing nearly $ 20 for just 5 tickets. With the expanded matrix, it takes nearly $ 30 of tickets to have the same odds that it took $ 20 before California joined. Talk about inflation.

9/04/05: The cash value for the MM jackpot is estimated at $92.8M. Up to now the cash value accumulated, based on sales, was $80.9M. This means that the lottery anticipates sales of $37.4M for this jackpot. In the table below the first column refers to the number of winners, and the second column offers, based on the odds, the probability - stated as a percentage - that that number of winners will be obtained.080.83%117.20%21.83%30.13%40.01%

Maddogs "Powerball Challenge" 9/3
I think, down inside me, I am a masochist. I love Powerball. Lousy management, lousy odds, lousy locations. I'm there every week.WB: 03 05 07 10 14 15 17 18 19 21 25 32 34 35 42 48 49 53PB: 04 12 15 21 36 42Good L-U-C-K to E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E
