because in lotteries the more you study, the more difficult it becomes to predict the next draw
The only way to truly increase your odds is to place more bets, since each bet represents a unique chance to win. Therefore, betting on more numbers or syndicates increases your chances, but also costs more.
Playing in a syndicate increases your odds of winning but does NOT cost more. And in some cases cost less.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hi Ms Bee18, it's that exactly, better odds for middle level prizes, plus $200 win. Also, if my scenario is correct, the FL is ordering a significantly fewer number of tickets for this one.
Also, PSA, the book total in my scenario should be 868,000...I must have fat-fingered a 50 vs a 30. But that doesn't impact the odds table, since the ticket count is mechanized against the estimated number of pools being ordered, with 120,000 tickets per pool. I'll fix it though when updating to reflect a

UK couple wins £1 million National Lottery prize for the second time
Odds are 1 in 24 trillion, Lottery operator says
By Kate Northrop
A UK couple has beaten what lottery experts call insurmountable odds by winning a 1 million (US$1,342,420) prize in the National Lottery for the second time.
A 1 million lottery win not only did a whole lot of good for one UK couple, but it allowed them to do good for others as well. Now having won twice, they're met with the possibilities another 1 million prize can bring.

Help Me Understand This 😭
As a player should the focus be on the odds of winning or how often people are winning regardless?
How often (other) people win matters in two ways. If somebody else wins the same drawing you do you only get your share of the jackpot. If anybody won recently the jackpot is less than it is when nobody has won for a longer period of time. I can hope to reduce my chances of sharing a jackpot by choosing a combination I think most players wouldn't choose (and I'd prefer that there was no QP opt
