Illinois lottery director calls it quits
Illinois raffle games are dead to me. I have donated my last to the cause with this latest one since I never have won squat!

Ohio New Year Raffle
With local gas prices going from $4.00 per gallon at the beginning of those raffle tickets sales to $1.65 putting an extra $40 in the average lottery player's pockets after a 20 gal fill-up, I thought ticket sales would be better but I guess more money in players pockets doesn't mean more lottery tickets sales.

PA Raffle Countdown to 500,000 ...
Neither of my two tickets were even close. On a related note, anyone with PA raffle tickets, double-check them on the scanner. The portion listing $1000 winning numbers is somewhat out of sequence. It wouldn't surprise me if some $1000 winners accidentally throw their tickets away. PA has had problems in the past with the results shown being messed up, and later fixed. Always double-check!

PA Raffle Countdown to 500,000 ...
Sold out! Good luck to those in it. I didn't play this time round. Hopefully other states will model their raffles after this successful raffle.

Post your scratch ticket results
Nice win.. I always try new places with the mantra Meant to Be . Usually not the case though, but I love mixing up places. Also if the place is far enough away, I won't be tempted to run back and chase if I buy multiples. Lottery is certainly a rollercoaster ride for sure. More downs then ups, but certainly has some peaks.. Good luck to everyone and hopefully I can finally hit on a Raffle ticket tonight.

I got a couple raffle tickets. I agree, VA lottery makes out like a bandit on the selling of those tickets at $20 each.

The New Year's raffle tickets are sold out and I was going to buy one today. Anybody playing that? Took in 6,600,000 to pay out 3,300,000. Surely VA can afford to drop another trip, no?

States pull the plug on Monopoly Millionaires' Club
Long time lurker but I had to post on this one.I bought tickets for the first two draws with the misconception that the millionaires club ( the one million dollar prize) was like the raffle games in that I assumed those entries were good until a jackpot was claimed.Once I learned that the entries were only good for the draw date on the ticket I gave up on the game.

PA Raffle Countdown to 500,000 ...
Interesting thoughts Ron, thanks for sharing. Say they don t sell all their tickets, for example only 450K are sold, does the lotto buy the remaining 50K, or is the raffle drawn with 450K as the limit and thus increasing the odds of winning? People would scream conspiracy if the lotto bought the remaining tickets and one of the 1 million dollar prizes was in that final 50K range. If I think they will be discounted, I should probably hold off to the New Year to buy anymore to save some cash.
