todd:i like the idea of rating each state lottery, but perhaps they should be rated on more than just how true the drawings are. perhaps you could also base the grades on the payout percentages, average jackpot, sales figures, jackpot odds, starting jackpot, instant games, and variety of choice.

Hot Lotto isn't really similiar since the odds are very different. The idea of drawing a pair of blue balls sounds more like a bad joke than a lottery. Are the people here really believing that this game is for real?

Of course people would play. There are smaller prizes to be had. And while 1 in a billion is a longest longshot, there's always a chance you could beat the odds. Anything is possible.

i would rather play two sets of my own numbers for two bucks because thats an extra chance to win then try to double a prize with the way the odds are.......

I don't think so. If people were really good at math then they wouldn't be playing a multi-state game at all. 80 million vs 180 million is still staggering odds for people playing only 1-4 dollars per drawing it wouldn't really make any real difference.

I'm gonna take a long shot and say P-Ball. Sure Mega Millions has the longer odds, but California is going to bring a lot more players than we may think. Less people will be playing Powerball, and therefore gives it a better chance of rolling high.

tntea: i use math when i figure out my numbers. 271= 2+1= 3...2+7=9 ..the 7 stays the same...also whenever you get 21 pair...odds are over 80%, you will see the pair 37 within 7 draws. not always because we know how pairs like to hide for a long time...i.e. double 1. so you think my 4 s coming tonight. like those double 4's and that 459 you had on deflate.
