'Blue Game' to start in October?
They will not lower the price, because they couldn't fund the increased 2nd tier price with a $1 bet.I am not too excited about this game. I have no desire to pay $2 per ticket for a lotto game with such long odds, and they will certainly not lure Mega Millions players away. It won't even be played in Mega Millions states!

Lotto South can be a giant
Lotto South with a bigger matrix, PowerBall with a bigger matrix and now the Blue Game all in the MUSL states would be targeting the same players and that doesn't make any sense. Most states prefer to have several games with different odds and prize levels to attract different players.RJOh

Where would you draw the line?
I draw the line at $5 per ticket regardless of the odds because if the big winner has not been placed in the town that you're buying your tickets, you're not going to win no matter the number of tickets you buy.RJOh

Where would you draw the line?
even though a book of tickets may have great odd of winning some sort of prize the odd are miss leading. you might get three winners in a row then no winners for 12 more tickets . then get one winner ever other ticket for three trys. then no winners for 10 trys. If the odds were exact and say for instance 1 :3 then every third ticket should be a winner but that's just not the case.

Time for Multistate Keno!
The chances of hitting 10 out of 20 when drawn from a 60-number field are 1::408,073.50. With a payout of $500,000 you've already exceeded a payout percentage of 100%. I'd play it too. $.50 scratch offs?
What do you guys think about a $.50 scratch off? Most Tennesseans buy a $1 scratch off because it's a minimum bet. If you go done even further you can buy more tickets. I think a $.50 scratch off would be cool. If there was a $.50 ticket here in TN I would expect this:Overall odds 1:5.5. Prizes range from a Ticket ($.50)-($500).

Mega Millions 5/17/05
In the last 100 drawings, 75% of the megaballs had hit within the previous 70 drawings, 50% had hit within the previous 35 drawings, although when 08 came up in the last drawing, it hadn't hit in the previous 194 drawings and I missed it. I'll be going with odds again tonight and hoping I do better this time. There has been 25 different mega ball during the last 35 drawings. The number 37, the longest one out, has not been a mega ball for over 200 drawings.RJOh

What are the odds?
Oh well didn't win anything but that was nuts! The odds of that are the same as matching 4 numbers on a powerball drawing. 1:12,249

Powerball sales up slightly.

Powerball Roll Forecast
My forecast was based on this. About 25% of sales go to the jackpot, and it's been estimated that $15 million will go towards it. $15 Million is 25% of of $60 million, which would mean about 60,000,000 unique combinations will have been sold. The odds are 1 in 120 million, and when 60,000,000 of the combos have been bought, that makes a 50/50 chance of a rollover or a winner.
