Cincinnati Reds formed Mega Millions lottery pool
i remember the story. it was for VA's lotto game. the jackpot was larger than the odds. they attempted to buy out the game. i believe the VA lotery stopped them. because of them, lotteries will slow down, or even shut off terminals in which the lottery thinks someone is using to buy out the game, and pre-printed playslips will not work.

No 25 pair in N. America since Monday Eve
You're welcome and thanks, Maddog. I'll be sure to check your picks. Odds become even better for tomorrow, of course, if tonight's draws are yet another total miss.Good luck to all! Peach

No 25 pair in N. America since Monday Eve
That's a grand total of 137 skips going into tonight's draws.....since any number with a 25 pair hit, midday or evening, either in the U.S. or Canada. Last was in Arizona, Monday night (524).Rare to see this many skips for any pair continent-wide.Odds are extremely good that we'll see at least one somewhere tonight.

Powerball Finally Rolling Again
Powerball is still not past 60 million so it still could go down in the next two draws and ruin every bodies day. I sure would like to see a nice jackpot run before the odds change in august.

My MegaMillions Matrix Suggestion
Quote: Originally posted by JAG331 on April 20, 2005You could set up lower tier prizes for matching just 1 of the bonus balls. Then the odds of winning something would be 1:7, do you think the lottery commission could afford to be so generous and still keep the jackpot size attractive?

Mega Millions changing June 24 -official
It sounds to me like it's time to sharpen those pencils to deal with the new odds. It's a new opportunity to work on that new program/strategy you may have been putting off. The time for would have, could have, should have is over. Mega Millions has made their choice and it is time to deal with it. If there is a way to systematically win, it will be someone here who will find it. This is the Lottery post after all.

My MegaMillions Matrix Suggestion
Out of all that hogwash, I do like the 2 megaball/powerball idea.A 5/39 + 2/25 matrix has odds of 1:172,727,100...very comparable to the proposed MM changes. I guarantee sales would climb because people would think they have a better shot. What? You're telling me all I have to do is a standard Match 5/39 and then pick two other lousy numbers? Cake!!

Has MI-OH game been shelved?
Well lets hope Ohio gets rid of the super lotto plus game with odds of 1 to 451 just for a free play. I would like to see a bi-state game but not one at $2 per play. I guess time will tell.
