To Many Lotto Tickets
In Ohio only State lottery tickets can be deleted, if the clerk prints extra MegaMillions tickets, someone has to pay for them. If it's the clerk's fault, it's their problem. Their odds of winning is no better than mine and if I win then we both are lucky.RJOh

Lotto South can be a giant
$18 million for Wednesday, April 20.LS will be four years old in September, yet has not expanded its three-state base or lengthened its jackpot odds from 1:14 million. We need more states to join so LS can be the nation's third biggest lottery jackpot game (after MM and PB).

After CA joins Mega Millions
I think California will be like PA and IN for powerball. Usually if there is a winner it's in those states. However, you can't be like my dad. He never plays because he thinks it's rigged. He says, someone from up north will win so why play? I always explain to him that they sell more tickets but my dad doesn't listen. The way I see it everyone has the same odds of winning no matter where you are.

mega millions and powerball jackpot poll
Quote: Originally posted by Rip Snorter on April 16, 2005I suspect in a year they're going to be hard pressed to go more than two draws without someone winning. On both MM and PB. You guys are just getting toooooo good.JackPower ball has already said they're going to change their format to raise the odds and make it harder to win which will allow the jackpots to go higher. The changes talked about by the Mega Million folks will probably so the same for Mega Millions

MM $168 million!
What ever happened to the gentleman that used to post the odds based on the current tickets sold? Another question to the hive will we see $200 million this roll or does it end Tuesday?

I like the game the way it is now though, with kicker. I'm afraid that a change to a jackpot game would screw up the great odds and uniqueness of the game.

Mega Millions changing June 24 -official
A 5/56 + 1/46 matrix has odds of 175,711,536:1. A step in the right direction toward super jackpots. I think this could easily generate a $400 million prize.

Mega Millions changing June 24 -official
I am a Massachusetts Mega Millions season ticket holder. Today I got a letter from the MA lottery saying they are changing Mega Millions as of June 24th when California is joining, did I want to change my number? The new set up is 5 of 56 and 1 of 46 for the Megaball. Not sure what the new odds are, letter did not say.
