$165,000 Cash 5 lottery ticket sold in Bayonne, NJ
$165,000 is a big jackpot for pick 5. NY Take Five, are you listening? CO, you mean with jackpots as high as Lotto, with the same pick 5 odds?

Why Play?
wrt jackpot games...i play because despite odds jackpots are won and therefore can be won if you have a ticket...and because they still use numbered balls and mechanical machines for most jackpot draws...and it really isn't that expensive staying active in a jackpot gamei also play pick 3 and 4 occasionally because i like the increased complexity and ticket variations offered filling out the play cardscurrently i p3 doubles

BL- Do you have a system that works for a 6/49 game or 5 number game? It has alot lower odds and you wouldnt have to worry about a bonus ball. Thanks bd2lucky

Powerball Lottery States Vote to Change Game
Quote: Originally posted by dvdiva on April 12, 2005There isn't a fluke happening with Powerball. The number of possible players and odds don't match up to generate large jackpots. Same is true in Mega. While mega has broken 100 million that would end if CA joined and the game didn't change. Jackpots of 300+ million are a big windfall for states selling tickets for participating states. That's what the games are there for. To make money for the states selling tickets. As a side benefit those who

Powerball is changing when is Mega?
I know most people on here have won MegaMillions a few times and are multimillionaires who agree with you that MegaMillions is just too easy to win at 135 million to 1. Personally, I can't wait for the odds to get even worse so I can have a little challenge in my life.Where did you see they are thinking of kicking NY out? Sounds interesting.

cash vs. annuity
Beating the incredible, insane odds and actually being in a real-life position to choose between cash and annuity is the main thing. Whether I took the $10 million annuity or the $6 million cash would be incidental - life would be very different with a lot more options afterwards either way. I don't think I would second guess my choice whatever it was as I was vacationing in Hawaii or beginning my non-work day with a walk to the coffee shop.

Mass. lottery winners cash in on new prize law
If I got up to NH often enough to get a ticket, I would play it. Hot Lotto is a game where they get it right - decent odds of winning something, cash option, good size jackpot. tennessee lottery new online game
Yep. I wish SC and TN would join. Then jackpots may rise at 2 million between draws. However, they would need to decrease the odds a little. With more people playing more than likely it wouldn't rollover as much. But lets focus on getting lotto south right now.

102 Mega Millions Jackpot 4/8/05
Quote: Originally posted by JAG331 on April 9, 2005Both 5 and 33 had not hit since that previous drawing. Now all the numbers except 46 has hit in the last 23 drawings. If 46 continues to stay idle, the odds of my system which generally ignores idle numbers will improve. The best I could do in this drawing was 1+1 with 25 lines. I did put 5,23 and 46 in the last line and matched 2+0 so I probably do the same thing with 46 in my next picks.RJOh
