Anyone know when Mega starts in CA?
Chief,5/63+1/24 = 1:168,692,328 overall 1:22.75/71+1/17 = 1:221,338,453 overall 1:16.55/56+1/46 = 1:175,711,536 overall 1:39.85/56+1/46 sounds more realistic because the overall odds of getting $2 back is more real. In the first two, the lower prizes would be won too often to have a lot of money left to contribute to the jackpot amount and the idea is to create larger jackpots faster.RJOh

"Posting Numbers"
I was just thinking about that before running into this topic. SOME PEOPLE WANT TO PLAY THE GAME AND SOME WANT TO RUN THE GAME.That is why all these people who complain about changeing the matrix and increasing the odds when they haven't won the jackpot GETS ON MY NERVES.

If the winning number is between 3 and 7, you would win twice, otherwise you would only win once? Or am I misunderst

Mega Millions Matrix Change Coming Soon
Personally I'm hoping for odds closer to 1:200 million. Like 185-190 million to one with less megaballs.Like 5/59 + 1/38 or 5/60 + 1/34 or 35.I'm also sure that Texas will ram this through irregardless if people want it or not.Sales don't really support more than 12 million yet until the sales from California are known. They could always raise it to 15 if the sales are good.

Texas Lottery Approves Mega Millions Changes

This way we can get it right instead of just trying to guess how people in california are going to play. I'd like to see the new rules take effect Jan 2006.Odds of winning the jackpot goes up 30%The 2nd and 3rd prizes go up more than 30% so kinda nice.I agree with you. I'd rather that they wait, but lottery direct

Powerball Jackpot.
I would say your odds of hitting the jackpot are way better at 10 million then 200+ million since it's not going to hit that mark anyways. Current run might make it to 55 before getting hit.

Texas Lottery Approves Mega Millions Changes
I am just one who is not fond of the big Jackpots but if they did change it. My gosh the odds are overwhelming now at 1:135 million to change it to 1:175 million wow I am sure that there would be some huge JPs. But my opinion is of little value as I am sure the lure of big JPs will win out which is OK. I am fortunate enough to live in an area that borders a Power ball state so I shall just put that extra into power ball rather than Mega Millions
