Odd means Odds numbers like 1,3,5,7,9Evens mean Even Numbers like 2,4,6,8,0Sum means the total of all numbers added together like the number 583 the sum is 16 and thr Root Sum is 7.5+8+3 ='s 16 and to get the Root Sum you hear people talking about you add the 1 and 6 and get the 7Now if it was an Odd Sum then the Sum added together would be Odd like 283 (2+8+3) has a Odd Sum of 13. And the above example with the 583 having the Even Sum of 16.

Someone hit mega - needs a fix
How would 5/55 and 1/55 sound? What are those odds? Florida will be next.

Iowa
Quote: Originally posted by johnph77 on March 2, 2005 Iowa also has and uses their own method of determining winners in their 5/35 Cash Game whether it be computerized or balls.gljThey use computers for Iowa's $100,000 Cash Game (what a name). As for the subject CO laid out (he really likes these surveys), if I had to put my money on a state doing what I call The Right Thing , it would be Iowa. But the odds are still high. I really think lotteries need to respect to Age of Majority.

Texas Lottery Considering Computerized Drawings
Yes indeed. You can cut payouts, raise odds, raise prices, raise ages (which really bothers me because I'm a youth rights activist, agree to disagree). But the undisputed, ultimate sign of corruption is using computers to draw numbers. It basically telling players Hey, f**k you, we're gonna rig your drawings so you can't win. And there isn't a thing you can do about it. , and every player knows it.

Multi-State Game Free Ticket Promotions.
Its up to the states to do whatever they want. Michigan has had those type of promotions before also. Those extra tickets might ad a couple thousand more tickets. Doesn't really help the odds that a free ticket will win the jackpot. The state will probably lose more money than it takes in on these promotions.Brad

Multi-State Game Free Ticket Promotions.
http://www.nylottery.org/index.phpFeb 27 - March 5. It doesn't seem unfair to me, as long as NY kicks the same amount in for the jackpot on the free tickets. The odds haven't changed for me, what do I care where the tickets are sold? It will be interesting to see if there's a winner from NY this week.

Minimum Jackpot you will play
I never understood waiting for the jackpot to hit a certain level before playing. A lot of people have won jackpots with just a $1 quick pick. Your odds of winning with a $1 QP are the same as the guy who won it with a $1 QP. It can't hurt anybody to invest just a buck for that chance. I'll throw a buck or a few bucks on any jackpot.
