Hot Lotto case moves to jury for deliberations
Attorneys gave their closing arguments Friday in the fraud case against a former lottery vendor employee accused of manipulating a Hot Lotto drawing to win a $14.3 million ticket. Eddie Tipton, 52, is being tried on two counts of fraud. He has been accused of buying the winning Hot Lotto ticket at a Des Moines QuikTrip on Dec. 23, 2010. Tipton was defined by Iowa law as a prohibited player in his former position as the information security director for the Multi-State Lottery Association, or

Florida man out $92,000 after losing winning lottery tickets
Sure, but it's unlikely that customer could cash them without being found out. Even if he just cashed one at different grocery stores ever month, the lottery would know where the tickets were printed, and they'd check the security tape to try to identify the person cashing them. If your scenario did happen, the smart thing would be for that customer to come forward and return them, get the money he spent back, and hope for a nice little reward.

Lottery Post moves to total encryption
Agreed! As an IT guy, I understand the importance of this for our and LP's security going forward. Memberships (at any level) are WELL WORTH the money when they invest in transparent (to the use) upgrades like this! Thanks for all you and the LP crew do Todd!

Would you claim your Jackpot winnings through a Trust or Not?
You've made this comment before and you are still posting misinformation. And yes, Mikeintexas he has said this multiple times and never backs it up with any proof. Please Jjtheprince, post just one article where a lottery winners social security number has been published. Just one. Or one that has posted someone's street address and date of birth.

$75,000 California Lottery winner leaves with only $75
, LottoMetro! LOL. Further, I think that this lottery retailer gang came up with a rather elaborate damage control saga! However, I don't think all of this gang's creative 'thinking efforts' will keep the California Lottery Headquarters from shutting them down. This lottery retailer probably had received a few, prior, complaints from customers; which lead to the actual security official showing up to test the gang.

Factory worker quits job after winning $12.3M UK lottery jackpot
Congratulations! But........... Don't rush into anything, plan for the Long-term. Get independent, professionel financial and legal advice. Many lottery winners get carried away and squandered the opportunity for long-term financial security.
