Let's get the (power)ball rollin'....
i too think the pb will be higher , not only for the mathmatical odds that do favor this but also for the trend that follows. i'm thinking the range will be somewhere in the 20's

Tennessee is Cheating!
i believe that there are two sets of winning numbers. i actuall like those kinds of promotions over the ones that increase the payouts. that way, one could do what the guy in MO did and when the drum is down to just te colored ball, one can play every set of numbers and cash in on some extra money, provided te lottery pays out more than half the odds.

The Pigskin Challenge: 1-29-05
getpaid,That's a very astute observation. Getting one number right from ten numbers selected is probably fairly common because that's about the chance expectation: (10/53)x5 = 0.9433962264150.... In other words, no matter how you pick them with any system or no system at all, you can can expect to catch one number by dumb luck alone. I don't think that necessarily means that we're just guessing though. It just means that our methods aren't altogether consistent or perfect yet.MADDOG10 managed to

The Pigskin Challenge: 1-29-05
Hey guys I concerned about one thing. Why is it that we pick 10 numbers and mostly get one number right out of 10With those odds we will get 5 out of 53 which means that we are pretty much guessing. so my question is what strategies are you guys using because my doesn't pay.I think I am gonna be more radical with my picks.

N.H. lottery chief says $20 ticket price will not be high enough
I bought a $30 ticket just last week. Didn't win anything though. At least the odds of winning are better on the higher priced tickets. On the two $20 tickets I bought, I won $20 on one and $40 on the other.

living off of the pick 3s
I guess I hit as much as could be expected,But I sure would hate to have to depend on the p3,p4 or the p5's for a living.the odds are always against you.

Which change in Megamillions or Powerball
I was wondering what change in Megamillions or Powerball would be worse for most players. A change in the odds to be between 150 and 180 million to one or changing the price. I personally would hope they would NOT change the price since that's one form of inflation I dont want to see.
