both games have odds over 1 in a 100 million, mega has a better payout, powerball has megaplier....I dont see where there would be enough of a variance for me to not play whats offered in my state vs. driving to another state to play...so I guess for me it would be (megamillions)

That's a tough call. On one hand, Powerball has the better overall odds of winning. On the other hand, Mega Millions has greater prize payouts for Match 5, Match 4, Match 3+1, and Match 2+1 winners.

Some people track all odd,allevens,two odds one even,two evenone odd.Is there any gain in suchtracking?Or is it better to trackall high numbers,all low numberstwo high one low,two low one high?Maybe I am barking up the wrongtree.Besides overdue,overduewhat can be said to pick winners?

You have a very good breakdown of probabilities, Paymenow.Your selections of the 1-8 coincide with my thinking, too.In particular, 1-3-8 in any order. It's tough enough just getting the three correct numbers, nevermind the exact order. This would also satisfy the usual 2 odds/one even - or - 2 evens/1 odd scenario.Also, sticking with a double liklihood - 11/33, 11/88, 33/88.A reminder to all: the 1-3 pair is very cold...brrrr. Time to heat up soon.
