I need to fix bad luck or bad Karma
Quote: Originally posted by fast eddie on September 20, 2004I do vision myself winning, though sometimes feeling like a loser does creep in. Don't feel alone, the pick3 games have odds of 1:1000 per straight winners and ~1:220 per box winners, so only ~5 of 1000 tickets have a chance of winning anything. You're not the only person losing money playing the lotteries. Losing is a big part of the game.RJOh

New Mexico Lottery Unveils '4 This Way'
I'm guessing from the odds breakdown that it's a Pick 4 game, but the prizes are awarded differently. No offense Dr.Ew, but I wouldn't call it stupid . I like the fact that the prizes are fixed rather than pari-mutuel. In my home state of NJ, you can get a straight hit but get a terrible payout. The fixed prize avoids that, which I think is great.

Buckeye 5 - Gone after Oct 2nd
The Ohio Lottery Commission will be eliminating the Buckeye 5 Game as of October 2nd.The Buckeye 5 is a 1/37 number game. The replacement will be Rolling Cash 5 : A 1/39 number game. This thread is intended to help those that play the Buckeye 5.These are my observations that frequently happen in the Buckeye 5 game. 1. The most frequent numbers that hit are those that do not move up on the chart from their added total number of hits. (**see end of thread) 2. Try to use numbers that hit wit

Powerball(PB) must come from dream land
Quote: Originally posted by Bertil on September 19, 2004 You are all posting shots in the dark. Get real.BertilBertil,I basically agree with you on this assessment. In a jackpot game that has grand prize odds of over 120 million to one, even the most analytical approach is a shot in the dark. Sometimes those shots hit though. PowerBall is simply a longshot game. Good luck with your shots.aye'

Poll: most Americans would continue working after lottery win
depends on the jackpot size and type. if i were to win an annuitized jackpot, then there is a greater chance i would quit my job, depending on the size of each payment. if it were a cash jackpot, odds are it would be smaller, so i would probably keep working.
