~$20 for a 3 of 6 match and Ohio is promoting their 649 game by offering a free Quick Pick with annuity for a 3 of 6 match, it's a wonder that the U.K. have any money left over for their charities. Ohio normally doesn't pay anything for a match 3 and odds are that won't change even with a free QP. RJOh

JAG: Keep in mind that the 1 in 22M odds for NY Lotto is only BECAUSE you get 2 tix for $1. The game is actually 1 in 45M for one ticket.

Each of the jackpots won in Powerball or Mega Millions this year were won by a single ticket. No matter how high the jackpots get, the odds always favor a single winner unless at least 250 million tickets were sold or something.

Wow LadyG! that is big list that someone gave you. When someone send that many for one day I would get frustrated and not play any because you wouldn't know which one to pick and if you played them all you wouldn't make a profit even if one came in. ryanm, I'm dphillips (Blue), and I played Powerball last September, winning $500.00 -- the highest amount I've won so far. Since I played the extra dollar and the ticket was originally $100.00 -- and the multiplier was 5 -- I was lucky. In fact, I always play Power Play with all of my numbers because if I don't hit all 6 numbers, I might stand a chance to increase my odds!

It is interesting to think about a $400 million jackpot.Here I am holding a couple of Mega Millions tickets hoping to win and yet, I am also hoping that if I do not win the jackpot rolls. Two extremes. Either one of my tickets wins or the 110 million tickets out there do not win. The fact that nobody may win really brings home how long the odds are.Good luck,Jake
