Buying more tickets = reduced odds
The only way odds are ever reduced by purchasing multiple tickets is in a drawing where more than one winning combination is drawn. Think about it!!

Buying more tickets = reduced odds
It's not how many tickets you buy, but which numbers you buy.How you get your numbers is what will determine your odds and not so much how many tickets or numbers you buy.

Overdue Numbers
I keep charts on overdues, pairs and numbers by position. Most of the money that I have won on the pick 3 has come from playing those odds. When a pair is overdue I sometimes play a progressive on that pair and I have won a bit playing this way. Don't discount a number because it is cold. Even the 999 will come in Texas one day(lol).......Joy

Buying more tickets = reduced odds
For those of you that want to reduce the odds in the lottery by purchasing more tickets.....look at it this way.....you can subtract from the number of possible outcomes by the number of tickets you purchase, but you certainly cannot divide. Example.....1:1000, buy 10 tickets with different numbers=1:990. What this means is that you have a 1:990 chance of losing, not winning. Chances of winning would be 10:1000. Hope this helps.

lottosync success!!??
maybe this is the key to using lottosync successfully guru stated earlier to play the numbers predicted twice if you do not hit a prize the first time drawn i did this tonight by mistake and i won 3/10 i will continue to play this way and let you know the results but as well i will remind all of you the odds of getting 3 numbers right in a group of 10 are 1 in 8 so it could just be prbability at work! The chance is actually : 1/10 + 1/9 + 1/8 = 121/360 (or estimate of 1/3)

Question About Buckeye 5
The odds of one ticket winning first prize in a 5/37 game is 1:435,897, buy four tickets with four different combinations and it changes to 4:435,897 =1:108,974.Buy 435,897 different combinations and the odd changes to 437,897:435,897 =1:1 or 100% of a match.Having bought all the possible combinations in a Buckeye5 game you would win a total of $215,200.RJOh

If you can pick one number you can win P3
I think there are ways to improve on that system and improve the 10% average hit rate. How often does a first position digit repeat on top of itself? If you simply drop yesterdays first number digit by position that would improve the odds a little more. My gut feel is that it doesn't come back in that position the next day 90% of the time.

Predictions - Are You Serious ?
Prob987 and Jake649Thanks for your thorough discussion on duplication of odds, etc. I have taken it offline and I'll be reviewing your numbers and assumptions. After I have a chance to do the math, I'll post my comments and thoughts.
