Buckeye 5
Got a question about this 5/37 game. It claims the odds of hitting 3 out of 5 on this are 1 in 88. So if I purchased 88 auto-pick tickets,I'd be guaranteed to hit 3/5 on at least one of the tickets? If you spent around $80 on one drawing, how realistic would your chances be of getting all 5 do you think? Have any of you ever dropped a considerable amount on a lottery game and won?ToddPlatinum298

SC Evening 4-8-2004
Your Welcome John. If it does a 2/1 split for tomorrow Midday and there is a 1 digit repeat, whatever plays should be in that group of 30 combinations. There's only 5 combinations that Sum 0-10 and 2 that Sum 21-27. Leaving 23 that Sum 11-20.Figure out which way the Game will Sum Total (Odd or Even) and you can eliminate 11 to 12 combinations of those that Sum 11-20. The odds are the game would be one that Sums 11-20.

War Dampens Indiana's Hope of International Lottery
As much as large jackpots are fun, they are not good for individual players. As it stands now, the Mega Millions and Powerball games have a very poor expected value. To achieve a slightly reasonable expected value, they have to be played as a member of a large group and only when jackpots are large. If they double the odds, the players will be worse off.Good luck,Jake

Pick One Daily
I've come up with 12 Facts about the numbers that can greatly reduce the exacts to as few as 28 approximately 70% of the time. Most educated mathematicians will argue the point that tracking digits can not be done because all combinations have the same chance .... same odds of playing as the other. If you allow yourself to be swayed with this thinking when you play you will constantly have that thought in the back of your mind which will paralyze you from discarding a possible combination. 200 stolen tickets produce $11 in prizes and an arrest
The moral of the story; DON'T BUY SCRATCH-OFFS! If you feel the need to spend a $1 on something, spend it on a 5/31 or a 5/36 lottery if your state has one. The odds are better and there is the potential to win a much bigger prize and you have control over what numbers are to be played. Scratch-offs are all dumb luck and to win anything really significant you have to spend anywhere from $3-$10 on those tickets. Total rip-off.
