Penn. Match 6 Lotto Rules Finalized
Good idea in Delaware. Never hit the 6/36. And it sucks more that the fixed prizes are lower. Long odds there on average.Still, how can one get 10 winners with 6 numbers? Duplication of the quick picks? Should be interesting.

Powerball-Mega Million Merger?
If they did merge I would foresee a hike in the odds and the ticket prices to generate larger jackpots. At least a two dollar minimum per play on game slip and another dollar for the multiplier per play. It would be a killing for them at least. But that is a big IF !

Lottery programs
Cash Only -The heading in my previous reply/post is a misnomer, but the possibilities and odds are correct for a 5/56 + 1/49 game. Your query reminded me that (for some time) I've needed to update the spreadsheet I use for these calculations with the proper headings and add the column for the hits. It's done now. Thanks and gl.

Powerball won't be only lottery option
When North Dakota's new lottery begins selling Powerball tickets on March 25, it will represent only the first sample of a gambling assortment that state officials plan to offer this year.At least two lesser-known games, Hot Lotto and Wild Card 2, are slated for introduction this summer. Another, called 2 by 2, may be rolled out in the fall, although Chuck Keller, North Dakota's lottery director, said that has not been decided.North Dakota also may participate in an international lottery by June

500 Million Jackpot?
As long as a $100M-$200M jackpot creates enough interest to sell 70 millions tickets, there's going be a 50/50 chance someone will win the jackpots after each rollover and the odds are there won't be enough of them to reach $500M. With some inflation and some bad economic policies, maybe some day a $100M jackpot will create the same interest as a $10M jackpot does today, but I hope not doing my life time because I'm retired on today's dollars.RJOh

Full details on PA Match-6
I should also note that Big 4 pays $2,500 for a straight pick. The odds on that are 1:10,000 which is still way better than Match 6's 10+ payout.

Time to change Mega Millions
Even with TX joining the game, MM did not crack $200 million. I suggest the following:* Change the matrixes to 5/56 and 1/49 (longer jackpot odds, but better chance of winning smallest prizes);* Start jackpot at $15 million;* Lengthen annuity _option_ to 30 payments;* keep lower tier prizes as they are; with the exception of raising the 4+0 prize to $250 (making each lower tier a different amount).
