Todd -Whether you express the odds as 48::1000 or 1::20.8333..., it's still the same ratio. The latter is a better expression, as it imparts the average number of dvents necessary for the expected outcome to occur.gl

Todd is correct - the odds are 48::1000. If more than one state comes up with the same number, it still doesn't make any difference over the long run, as you might be holding the winning ticket in both states.Take into consideration that some states pay more than $500 on a Pick 3 straight ticket. Also, if Texas is holding a 6/54 game I'm going to have to go to their website so I can update my site with the new information. There is no other 6/54 game I know of in the U.S. Thanks for the info.hny,

actually the more states involved, the more the odds am i right? therefor it would be simpler to cover one state, whereas, i would like to cover all gaming states and i have already placed my numbers down.so you might as well put down your numbers or should i help you pick them?

I feel So.....BROKE
if you bank on the lottery as a source of income you are way off!!!! think about the odds of a 6/49 game 1 in 14,000,000 think about that almost as close to impossible as you can get but some people do win and thats why i play!!!! if you feel you have to win or need to win because of bills and such chances are you wont opposing forces will work against you take the lottery at face value buy a ticket and think if it happens great if it doesnt no big deal!!!! NOW THATS LOTTERY WINNING ADVICE!!!!

lottery jackpots
I had read an article in the newspaper that said 70% of the tickets sold were quick pick and 30% were people's own chosen numbers. Now if you take that into account along with the fact that they will repeat numbers and the odds of you actually winning the jackpot. You can see why it can take awhile for the jackpot to be hit and the large jackpot amounts.

Prove it!
What are the odds of a RANDOM number repeating 7 times in the Pick-3/4? the number 9 hit 7 times in a row starting on 12/20-12/27.

First Tennessee Games Revealed
But not everyone who has a winning entry ticket will send it in. Hence the odds can not be calculated. Although they could probably have just said approximately 1 : 500,000

How much would you pay?
$11 for 400 chances at just the bonus ball with odds of 1:52 should have been more than that not to mention 400 chances at the 5/52 part of the game should have gotten a couple of match 3's at least. Sounds like that local tavern pool needs someone to manage their number picking a little better if they plan to continue putting up $400 per draw. RJOh

PA Super Six is going away...
Czar:A high profile lotto game should allow players to choose ALL their numbers-PA could easily have joined Hot Lotto and offer much the same easy odds of winning any prize (as Match 6 is) while allowing players to select all their numbers, and pay $1 per play.New Jersey Lotzee was a smaller game, so it had more of a reason to experiment, like generating automatic QPs, and charge $2 per play.
