Dunno know if you read or heard about that botched Connecticut Super Draw Raffle that was held last Monday, but I have three tickets for that too. (I live close to I-84 so Connecticut is 45 minutes away and PA is an hour's drive) I don't know if I won anything in CT's raffle drawing because they are going to announce this week the date of a second drawing to rectify the botched drawing. Strategy for next raffle, if there is one with early bird drawings, is to play week 4 and the final week. I know these numbers are chosen at random, but it sure seems like the final week more often than not rewards those better for the bigger prizes than who play early. Week 4 because odds at winning 100k are under 30,000 to 1 and it is the slow period between the hoopla of the raffle starting and getting anywhere close to the drawing date. Right, it is better for players....for the current drawing only. Raffles not selling out does carry it's consequences. In 2015, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced they were increasing the number of millionaire raffles from two per year to four. (They were formerly held on January 1st and July 4th, and then they announced they were adding two additional drawings - one in The Spring and one in The Fall.)
