The Lottery Curse: Fact or Fiction?
Just for the sake of discussion, how about people who win a jackpot more than once and still go broke?
There was a woman in NJ who won a jackpot, blew it, won another one, blew that and now she's living on social security.

Lottery, body guards and bullet proof limousine
20 million and up .... Until i pack my family and our possessions we intend to keep i will considered getting some security for the family and myself only because nobody in our neighborhood would keep quiet about a big win. And i wouldn't want any harm to come to my family if hoards of people show up at my doorstep.
Otherwise i will rent a room at the Hyatt Regency park my family there and have a moving company clean out my house and move it to the new location.

Lottery, body guards and bullet proof limousine
I think there's a bit of difference between a regular Joe winning money and leaders of corporations and such. Also remember that people just as powerful as Gates don't always carry around that type of security (Steve Jobs would regularly walk around his neighborhood with just his wife and there are numerous stories of him talking to strangers).
I don't think there's an amount I could have that would make me hire guards. I could see some people wanting it, but I'd be good with a concealed

$338M NJ Powerball winner pledges to pay rent for his entire block
I hope he finds someone who takes a reasonable fee for his services (maybe a little more) but still works hard to make a safe and good return for Quezada. If he returns to the DR his security costs alone will take a good chunk of his money plus all his new friends. There is little hope the money will make his happy. He can always call West Virginia Jack W.
Again the big winner in the Powerball games will be the IRS.

Is everyone playing the lottery in hopes of being able to retire, what are your reasons for playing?
Hi PlayToWin47,
Like myself you too have the goal of financial security. I too agree with your statements. It's nice of you to want to spend time helping others in need when you win. Good luck to you hope you win someday.

Hi CinCin,
It seems we have similar reasons for wanting to win (I would love to be able to pay for my daughters college). Like yourself I'd also like to help my family members. Traveling as you mentioned would be wonderful. The financial security of a lottery win would truly be life changing but the best part is the trickle down effect by being able to help those you love to have a better life and being able to help people who are in need.

Can you see yourself allowing someone to claim a lottery jackpot for you
I agree also. It's not just that I don't want to have to say no (although that's part of it), it's that there are too many dangerous people in this world. What you have to worry about the most are people who will hurt (or even kill) you, or a loved one, to get at your money. There are too many stories out there about crimes committed against lottery winners for anyone to not consider the added security and peace of mind by not having your name revealed to the world. You might never know where th

Baltimore man, 81, loses his home after falling for lottery scam
Dateline did a thing on internet scams and there was this guy who thought he was talking to his young and beautiful future wife and then she conned him out of a lot of money. I think he was doing this behind his wifes back too. There is some brain deficiency for people who believe these obvious scams and they are not all old people. I had a neighbor (years ago) who was a security guard and so was his wife (he was in his late 50's) and one time I was having dinnner at their home and he kept getti

California Raffle Drawings
I was looking at the calottery web site at Draw Procedures where they claim We are committed to fairness and security But honestly the type is too small for me to read and strangely enough, enlarging the page (what normally works for me) does NOT enlarge the type. lol. lol. lol.
