Beating The Lottery
The best way to have a chance at beating (winning) the lottery is to buy a ticket. Some one always beat the lottery dventually or people would stop playing. It's no secret, the odds are ~1:many millions and when many millions of tickets are sold, someone wins. Good luck to all who buy a ticket because those who don't have a snowball chance.RJOh

picking a power ball
If you are going to play alot of tickets, wheel the PB#s (Play 42 tix, covering each PB), this brings your odds down from 120,526,770:1 to 2,939677:1I have no proven method to pick the PB, even looking at the stats, it appears to be a wild #.FYI, since PB went to 5/53 + 1/42, the following numbers have not been chosen as the powerball... 14, 18, 27, 33, 39, while 20 and 35 have been drawn 5 times each in the last 78 drawings

Do lottery systems really work?
Do lottery systems really work?I think the answer lies in how YOU define the word, work . If a system improves your odds by avoiding what is not probable, does it work ? I think so. Work can't always mean win .

picking a power ball
Was that a collective DUH or what!? C'mon, y'all we're playing for $240 million dollars! All I am saying is why not reduce your odds from 125 million to one to 2.6 million to one by playing the first 5 numbers like a 5-number game and then trying to pick a power number or two to play with those numbers. I just don't know how to get a power number. Can anybody help me? Hot number, cold number, repeat, adjacent, date what?

Math and probability help or not ?
P: you're not considering the fact that the state lotteries fire off 10 - 15 draws using the same machine, same ball previous to the actual draw. What if the last digit for the ACTUAL draws were an even #s for the 8 or 10 draws but the trial draws were mostly odds. You have no way of knowing.

Math and probability help or not ?
Thanks Thomas, I was about to give up on my ability to write at all. You can probably already tell I'm not that eloquent. I'll do my best to explain how I use these math averages and probability tables to increase my chances in the pick 3. I almost said increase my odds! I mess up and misuse the word 'odds' like everyone. Well, here goes. I don't play everyday, but wait and study the results looking for the same thing that Scrooge was looking for. I cut the 1000 numbers up into as many balance

Math and probability help or not ?
P: TC can respond but you did post your thoughts on a FORUM. Answer me this: You say the odds are still 1:1000 and it never changes but according to your previous post, why wouldn't you bet on 123 if the previous two ACTUAL draws were 123 . But then again, the state lottery shot off another 10 - 20 practice draws using the same balls which players have no information about. Who knows, maybe they changed the set of balls after the 2nd draw of 123 .

Winning the Jackpot Prize
VD: And if you weren't meant to? To me, I wouldn't personally welcome things where I am stacked against great odds in the game of life. I wouldn't welcome cancer. I wouldn't welcome AIDS. I'm fine just the way I am.And who makes the decision if you were meant to or not? God? Jesus? Devil? Saddam?
