Heartbreak
I found out this morning that the winning powerball ticket was sold in Fort Mill, SC. That's where I bought my ticket. That 1:120,000,000 odds seemed a lot smaller when I drove home. But of course I didn't even come close. It was a heck of a letdown this time.

Thursday at work I walked by a concrete truck that had 471 written on the front bumper in paint stick. This weekend my grandaughter makes her First Holy Communion. Her birthday is 4/17. I said that must be an omen. So I started playing 471 and it came out Friday midday. What do you think the odds of that happening are?

Powerball gives a small cash prize for guessing the powerball. Texas awards you NOTHING for accomplishing that feat. The overall odds for the new Texas game are 1 in 57. For Powerball it is 1 in 36. Powerball is still the best game unless you are content to come in second and third the rest of your life . . .

Well Tom, The odds say 1000 to 1 and it is just a coincidence that happened.... I was in shock when I watched the drawing that night and also pissed me off cause soooo many people had it. The number was sold out of course its amazing how a tragedy can stimulate that many people to play a number like 911, personally here in NY that number should be retired for that day of sorrow!
