Jeeves:Ohio is considering a multiplier if they replace their current 6/49 game, so, I guess MM also could try a powerplay option. Doubt it though. The multipliers for Powerball are 2x, 3x, 4x, and 5x.Powerball's odds had been 1 in 80m; now it's 1 in 120m.

I wonder if it's feasible for MegaMillions to bring in powerplay option as well. What's the most you can win with powerplay option. Is it 9 times the prize?If I had a choice between Powerball and MM, it'd be Powerball. I believe the overall jackpot odds are about 1: 80M right?

The Megamillions game will become most interesting when the jackpot is over $100M. With those kinds of odds, only a big jackpot amount can attract players interest.RJOh

Scratch-offs can be quite addictive because of their instant qualities - it's very easy to run back in the store (or never leave!) and buy some more cards after not winning. I would say only play scratch-offs purely for fun with money that you're totally prepared to lose. Especially since they have the worst odds of any lottery game.
