Picking MB number
Thanks for all the advice. I used 36 last night and did not hit the MB but I did hit two WBs not that it paid out though. I also was the grand prize winner in a raffle last night! I won $500 and I won $20 on a $5 scratcher. Not a bad night after all. Playing again next week.

South FL VERY "lucky" since 2/1/12
I'll be there in a month, so i looked up the FLA lotto. I really like the lucky 7 raffle and the grouper play. Wish we had that. I'll give some of the scratch-offs a go too.

What does it take to start a lottery?
tatttersals the major australian lotto, was a raffle ran as a private concern way back. and hey the mob run numbers, basically pick 3 games . and online there are pick 3 and pick 4 that use state results for honesty and pay over state games odds.

Would you buy a $100 scratch ticket?
No, I would never pay $100 for one ticket. Once I bought some Florida raffle tickets (think it was in 2007) when there was a July 4th drawing. $20 each. Didn't win anything and said never again. I prefer losing my money at a much slower rate. LOL

Sweet Millions buy 5 get 3 free for January!!
This game is pointless. They say the odds are better,BS. Ten drawings with only 1 winner. Second only pays 500$.With 6 of 6 numbers you can win more in the NYLotto. They should turn it into a raffle with guaranteed winners every draw.

Rant About Greedy Non-Winners
Same thing happens to lottery players. I've had people who know I play the lottery come up to me and say Being a lottery player, I know you like to gamble. I'm selling $10 raffle tickets to support a good cause, how many can I sign you up for? They think if I have a dollars or two for lottery tickets then surely I must have plenty to spend on their worth while cause even thought I've never heard of it.

New Mexico ticket wins Powerball's first $1M second prize
I'm retired and on a fixed income too and I spend a little on lottery tickets for entertainment too. I don't buy the expensive ones and complain about their price, I only buy the ones that are reasonable priced for the risk I want to take. Just because there is a market for $20 raffle and scratch-off tickets and $2+ a board lottery tickets doesn't mean I have to buy them. If I can't afford them I don't buy them.

What is the most you have ever won??
I've won $7 on the powerball a few times, but never anything substantial. I did win a HD Sportster in a raffle in 2004. I gave it to my wife. I am certainly hoping that my luck in the big JP games changes soon.

Powerball multi-state lottery to raise prices, jackpots
People whine about a $2 Powerball ticket spend $20 to lose a $1,000,000 lottery raffle ............... or to play a scratch off ticket for even less!

Question for Ohio??
Yep, I'm definitely not complaining! It was a good day overall. Found a Classic Lotto ticket I bought in October in an old purse - it turned out to be a $70 winner. Won back $100 in the New Year's Raffle. And, perhaps most importantly, my alma mater (Michigan State) beat Georgia in an exciting 3OT bowl game. Would have been nice to win a million (or even $10K!) in the raffle, but I'm still pretty happy about how today went. :)
