PowerBall 11/23/02
For a second there, I thought you meant I had a 1:3 chance of breaking a curse, which is damn good odds for a curse. My bad, as my enthusiam runs high when my will battles fate.

Oh-Midday
Hi Toni,I don't live in Ohio but my brothers and sisters and parents do. I know Mom and Dad hit it. Don't know if anyone else did. I'll post again for tonight but I wouldn't put much faith in them, the odds of hitting twice in one day aren't very good.

Pick 5 or 5 ball lottery
Tonight (10/31/02) winning numbers were 01-05-17-21-36. There were 2 match 3 and 30 match 2 in the posted group of numbers which would have yeilded $1.86 for every $10 invested (about the same as playing $10 worth of numbers each draw). This winning numbers had also matched 3 once during the last 40 draws. So far this week, investing more money would not have improved my odds.RJOh

Play responsibly
AMEN to RJOH's comment, not understanding the rules of the game played, ie., reading the rules and in particular knowing about odds plus how many states may be involved, can be a very expensive lesson. Peanut butter dinners, anyone? Teufellj

Mega Millions: 2002-10-18
4-27-32-38-52 [38]I haven't matched a single number in weeks, so I'm down to just one Quick Pik. I would think that your odds have increased substantially by not having any of my numbers, except the 4.

MI began its change game
About two weeks ago,(before the Michigan game started) I e-mailed the inventor of the change game concept. I offered my 3/99 mini-lotto suggestion for future change games, while politely letting him know that IMHO the current raffle-style format with so few winners per drawing won't last. He told me other play styles can be used as part of a change game; secondary prizes also would be seriously considered. The change game idea will succeed only if all future versions allow for much better odds

George Sedertree Where are you?
I think you did run him off V-dude. Don't let it worry you though. You stood up for what you believed. Of course it's what I believe also. You really can't beat the odds. If you could there wouldn't be any lotteries.

Ohio SuperLotto...10/05/2002
To Mrcoolsoul,You matched three (07 14 41) in your first line so you get a free QP. If you had a number 05 with those three you would win $5. Check the back of your playing card, it gives you the prizes and odds of winning. The QP for a match three is a promotion that just started the 25th of September.RJOh

NJ and others with Pick 3/4 Bonus Match
Hi Alan, I never thought of it that way. But then I'm old, blind and crippled. Would the odds be any different with the pick 3? Or are you just looking at 4 chances rather then 3? For someone who hasn't hit for a while it might be almost a guarantee to get something. Interesting, I must think more on the matter.

VD,When a pool is handle the right way, everyone gets a fair share for their investment, anyone that would expect more is not the kind of friend I would want. When I play the lottery, I try to play as many combinations as possible thinking that my odds are improved with more combinations so I don't even repeat combinations of 4's on my tickets. Everbody have different ideas when it comes to picking numbers, for me having one winning ticket would work fine for me. Good luck to you.RJOh
