Lottery scam victimizes Colorado woman
People got to know that this is a scam. Whenever you have to pay money for a prize it is not legitimate. I work at a bank and there has been many people in the last couple weeks getting stuck with thousands of dollars worth of overdrafts because the check they deposited was fraudulent. The bank recieved the official letter from the customer and I dont understand how anyone can fall for it. They give you this check that is drawn off of some company that isn't even related to the so called

Can an illegal collect the jackpot?
Not to be taken as legal advice. In the stories I've seen the answer is yes they collect and are deported. I've always thought it strange to give them millions and deport when they have just become desirable immigrants.I guess it's more of a problem when they win smaller prizes where they have to decide if it's worth being deproted to collect. Hence the basis for the scam where they ask you to cash their ticket because they're illegal if you provide good faith money for them to hold while you

Washington going computerized
Quote: Originally posted by dvdiva on April 13, 2005Well I don't think the states will change their minds. I find it strange that the same comany is involved with all of them. Seems like a large potential for a scam. Think I will just stick with mega and powerball then. Can't see the pick 3/4 crowd not being more upset at this though. Even Powerball is thinking of going computerized though, and I bet if Powerball goes through with it, Mega Millions will follow. Soon you're going to have to pla

Need Copy of Pick-3 Winning Ticket!
Believe it or not..............I'm holding back considerably. It is really hard to do too, I have been a drill instructor for over two years straight. I see my kids (not what I call them to their face............not by a long shot get rail roaded by scam artist all the time and I always try to warn them. The first ones to go into harms way for their beliefs, money or whatever and they are also the first ones to get ram rodded. If you cant make it on your own then you dont need to be making it

Man finally wins lottery claim from washed-up ticket
A Spaniard has won a six-year court battle to claim the equivalent of about $50,000 US from a winning lottery ticket that went through a washing machine and came out in pieces. The organization running the lottery, the National Organization of Blind Spaniards, had refused to pay out on grounds the pieces might stem from a scam - a bunch of tickets washed intentionally and then snippets put together to look like a ticket with the winning five-digit number. But a Madrid court ruled Thursday that pla

DO NOT EVER use Neteller!!
Justin,There are horror stories about every payment system, but I don't think Netteller is a bad system. The problem is that you're trying to do something quickly with Netteller, which is not its strong point. Also, your complaints are that its security measures got in the way, but I would much rather deal with a company that is going to be zealous when it comes to security, rather than some company that would play loosely with my personal details. The fact that they had a human involved in loo

Men who threw away $100,000 scratch ticket now seek prize
the moral of the story isCHECK YOUR OWN TICKETS. and if you dont.DONT COMPLAIN TO US ABOUT IT IF ITS A WINNERThey shouldve noticed they won $100,000 whether the clerk told them so or not. plus she did NOT scan it because it would have said they won. she must have just looked at it. either way they shouldve noticed that they won without her help. when i buy a scratcher i dont ask a clerk if i won $2, and i dont ask the clerk to come in the bathroom and wipe my butt. these folks need to grow up an
