Few major lottery jackpot winners get chance to be anonymous
Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. You can lock the ticket away in a bible in a safe until after you change your name. If you told nobody (which you're suppose to do) then no one will know it is there. Here is the order:
Change your name to a common name - takes about a month to complete.
Change your address to a UPS lock box (not in your city). This gives you a regular address, not a PO Box.
Once your name change is processed update your driver's license to your new name and address.

Lottery winner who kept cashing welfare checks charged with fraud
You my friend hit the nail on the head. The working class, that know they are working class and not trying to keep up with the liberals, or are trying to be a Republican but don't have the money to be one, are getting getting screwed thrown in jail for minor infractions. But as you said the liberals and our upstanding Republicans that run those big business or have their fingers in them some how, can get away with murder, fraud and everything else and walk away with a smirk on their face like to

Maryland Lottery Director says online sales coming
You'd have to be some kind of stupid to put your social security number and credit card numbers on line with hackers all over the place looking to steal peoples identitys.

Kansas Mega Millions winner claims jackpot anonymously
Not a smart move for all of those who lost and question the integrity and legitimacy of the lottery. How do we know a real person actually received anything? I would think that lottery would care more about the billions of losers and people who made the jackpot what it was than they do about the one winner(s) security. Many do not believe they are legit if no actual winner is posted, and think that the larger jackpot games are scams and fixed. I would not doubt it either. Plus is BS that some st

5 Reasons You Don't Really Want to Win all that Lottery Money
Yeah this is a good one. It could cause the rest to happen. If you have a Dr. Jekyll\ Mr. Hyde complex, having $100 million fall in your lap can make him appear.
The personal safety issue is why If I win I'm claiming in a trust LLC partnership etc. anything to keep my name and face out of newspapers. Anonymity is better than a whole security firm.

World's biggest lottery jackpot won by three tickets
Iesha, indulge me for a second...if you won a second level ticket... lets say with a friend/relative who holds it or you won it alone, went to your bank and put in a security box today before posting the statement I won ..According to your above statement I COULD fall into the category of being CONSIDERED a , attention whores and scam artists.. remember, because someone makes a statement doesnt mean its false until its proven by opinions on here. Pictures of lotto tix can be photoshopped....If t

State cuts lottery winner's benefits
How many older people that are on food assistance own their home and/or land property thats worth over 500 grand? I'm guessing that the number is bigger than most people think. Some of these people who bought a home 30-40-50 years ago who never sold, are now living in homes where they can barely pay the taxes on the property with their social security check. So they need food assistance. Are we going to go door to door and make these people sell their homes so they can get off food assistance? T

Paranoid...or Prepared?
I could count on one hand the number of people outside of my wife kids that I would tell. I would move to the sticks and get myself a few very large dogs, better than any security system IMO. I would definitely buy several income generating rental properties as well as fix up houses and flip them when the market rebounds. I would do a lot of charity but it would be anonymous. For myself, I would have to take the trip to vegas and buy in to the WSP while letting the wife have a blast on the slot

Rhode Island woman, 81, claims $336 Million Powerball jackpot
When I first learned the winner was from RI, I was a bit miffed. Why? When I had first received my commission in the Navy, I attended a school in Newport, RI for 6 months before reporting to my first ship out in San Diego. The landlord of the building we lived in kept the $750 security deposit of my 3 roommates and I because he knew it would have cost us more to come back and fight him in small claims court. So I have no love for RI. But I am happy for this lady and her family as I know not all

Oh yeah they do have their priorities str8, a desire to repossess the wealth and assets of others...3 billion dollars worth.
