Have you or anyone you known tipped clerks that have helped you select a winning instant ticket?
I agree with what you are saying, and I would like to add some of my thoughts to it. I am also one of the types that usually buys my tickets and even if I scratch them in the store and win, I don't usually tell the clerk, so you are definitely right about that. I almost never turn in a winner on the spot. For a number of reasons, the main one is that I like to record all of the information from the ticket, I take them home. I also like to keep others from learning about how many losers in a row

Lucky and unlucky Scratch-off ticket numbers
I really wouldn't be cynical, but I understand. I used to be too, until I realized that long strings happen in every game, and that it almost certainly means that there is a good chance that a big winner accompanied it, either before or after. I have played Maximum Green a total of 5 times now, and of that, two were losers, one won $100, and two won $25, for a total of $150. If I keep up with numbers like that, I will be very happy. The losses do add up quickly. I have no intentions of going out

Do not get burned by this service station!
It doesn't matter HOW many tickets he has..I'm a manager at a gas station (not the owner) and the owners usually only had 5-8 books of tickets at a time. Yes, but I bet you have several hundred tickets altogether, not less than a dozen. I would think nothing of a store that had 8 books of tickets, especially if it was in a slow area. I have been in this store three times, over the period of a couple months. The first time, I bought the last two tickets he had, in the entire store. Meaning tha

understanding odds of winning?
I inquired to the Georgia Lottery as to this matter, and this is the response that I recieved: Thank you for contacting the Georgia Lottery Corporation (GLC). The Georgia Lottery goes to great lengths to ensure the security and integrity of every game. Game symbols and prize amounts are distributed randomly during the printing process of instant tickets. All instant games are audited by an independent CPA firm prior to the release of a game to confirm that the appropriate nu

truecritic, I say it is based on skill to be able to pick 3 numbers and beat the odds - based on a system or method that a person uses. Here is the request I made of you in the post you replied to above: -----Jimmy4164 Quote----- Some here have expressed a mistrust of Wikipedia. Please do me a favor and plug 'Gambler's Fallacy' into your Google search box and take a look at how other sites deal with it. I prefer Wikipedia for these kinds of issues because of the strict vetting the

Jimmy In the post above the three selected were not to be played and yes it is based on a 1 in 10 play. Lets say that we have three choices and must select 1. On average I will select the correct one 1 of every 3 attemps. If I remove one I now have a 50/50 decision to make for 66% chance of being correct. The odds of being correct are 1 in 3.3 for all three selections. The idea here is to lower the choice pool from which to make a decision. This example was intended to show that a

Jimmy Fact. One of the 64 patterns will be drawn, This I am 100% certain Fact If one selects the correct pattern then the winning set is produced, 100% certain. Fact. The greatest odds for any one pattern being drawn is 1 in 64, 100% certain. Remember I only have 64 choices to begin with. The only way to remove this 100% certainty is to go back to the 1 in 1000 odds way of looking at the game and ignore the method. I can reverse what you have said using this metho
