Affirmations, mantras and Hail Marys for the lottery
Quote: Originally posted by Coin Toss on June 28, 2006 There's a huge diference between can't be beat and just knowing the odds against doing so. When I first started posting here I mentioned that illinois Little Lotto had been a 5/ 30 game with a constant jackpot of $200,000 (the odds against hitting 5/ 30 are less than 200,000:1). So someone posted that if there was such a game they'd play every combination to guarantee the jackpot. The mistake there is that thinking assumes a so

13 State Employees to Share $224 Million Powerball Lottery Jackpot
Hi Floyd, Thanks for the input. It seems our thinking is similar on this matter. I would very much like to hear what Todd has to say on this subject. Other than that just a few comments: I never watched Happy Days but DAMN...I must lead a culturly deprived life because I never heard the phrase jump the shark before. From reading the wikipedia info I gather that Todd meant people were wondering if Powerball had strayed from it's original intent which was to raise as much money for t

PowerBall picks...07/07/2004
Now that PowerBall jackpot is too low to drive to Indiana to play, it's a good time to test some ideas and be ready when it reaches $200M+ again. The odds of matching 0+B is 1:70 and 1+B=1:124. I want to see if I can beat these odds with more lines. Winning $10 for $168 is nothing to brag about. I'm not playing but I thought I would post my best effort for tonight's drawing and check it later to see if I beat the published odds. I should have at least 4 winning combinations since I used all

MegaMillions picks for 07/06/2004
Now that MegaMillions is back down to $10M, it's the right time to test some ideas and be ready when it reaches $200M+ again. The odds of matching 0+B is 1:88 and 1+B=1:152. I want to see if I can beat these odds with more lines. Winning $10 for $156 is nothing to brag about. I'm not playing but I thought I would post my best effort for tonight's drawing and check it later to see if I beat the published odds. I should have at least 3 winning combinations since I used all mega balls three ti

Which scratch off tickets?
The simple answer to this question is it depends . If you know the number of tickets remaining for each game, you can see how the odds have changed in your favor. The ONLY time that 'prizes remaining' for scratch off tickets means anything is when the total number of top prizes remaining = ZERO. If there is even one top prize remaining, you have to know the number of TICKETS outstanding to answer your question. ScratchSmarter does this by analyzing every game for every state (where

Pick-5 system
I just learned part of a system on Youtube that shows how to eliminate a good portion of the numbers right off the bat. This system doesn't have to be applied to just a pick-5 game, but to any game. I'm using Florida Fantasy Five as an example. Step one: Look at your foundations chart. This is an odd/even chart. There are 32 possible orientations of odd/even. This applies to a Pick-5 game. I don't have a chart for the pick-6 yet. A. E-E-E-E-E B. E-E-E-E-O C. E-E-E-O-E D.

Assuming that my chart is correct, I created a calendar of predicted numbers for every day for a year. From that, I made a GIGANTIC table of your predicted numbers for every date since May 9th, 2025 though May 8th, 2026 - 365 days. Finally, I did the Win vs Cost from the chart. Here are the results for how your workup would have performed: 365 days x 2 draws / day = 730 draws Cost to Play = 730 draws X $138 / draw = $100,740 Winnings = 98 Straight Hits X $500 Winnings / Straight Hit =

Help Me Understand This 😭
From 2/22 when the new MFL game launched, Both the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots have been won twice - each. We have also had numerous 2nd prize winners for both of the above games. We are yet to have a jackpot or even a 2nd prize winner with MFL. On 4/22 it will be two months since the game launched. Does it mean we have fewer people playing MFL in the 31 states where it's available? The odds of winning are way lower than for both PB and MM, but yet they keep on producing
