What is up with the Lottery?
Don't let anyone get you down about not understanding the math at a glance. There are many different types of intelligence. Remember, though, that the lottery really is a form of entertainment. Not everyone finds it entertaining, though, just like how not everyone enjoys golfing, watching sitcoms or cooking. If you don't get any entertainment out of playing unless you win something, then it could just be that you don't really find the lottery to be entertaining. It's not for everyone. I e

Fun question for the math guys, yes its a beauty??
Guys I have a fun and crazy question regarding playing six numbers in 74 lotterys at one time and what are the odds of it winning or losing?? The numbers are 137 173 317 371 713 731. Now what are the odds of my numbers coming up in 74 pick three games, I would play them all at once the above numbers which are six in total. I did try to but cant figure out the real probability of them coming up in 74 lottery games played simultaneously in one day??????? 137 173 317 371 713

Take5 NY
Casper.. I know your located on Long Island, but here's something you might want to keep in mind should you decide to take a westward roadtrip. The Pennsylvania Lottery is having it's 28th Millionaire Raffle on January 5th, 2019. Tickets aint cheap, they're $20 a pop, but they only sell 500,000 tickets for four one million dollar top prize winners. That makes the odds 125,000 to 1 to win a million bucks. (Where can you find odds that low to win a million dollars???) there are many lower ti

$654 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot skyrockets
. I hear you man, but the lotto gotto stop rollin' some time. Just let me win my 1 million (2nd prize), and I'll be set, I think, because of the taxes. I hope the Trump Administration makes a mandataory lotto, which takes a buck out of each person's paycheck, and has a national lotto once a month, for all legally employed persons, JUST in the USA. This would include all the people on SS, disablty. etc. But, if he does, I'd hope he drops the odds of the game considerably, be

NY PICK 10 / KENO - Reheating the Embers
Thanks rcbbuckeye we all know conventional wisdom saying that the keno odds are terrible, however don't let the odds betray you, as it's the casino game with the largest jackpot payouts and they do happen - just check out the list Keno JPs @ the Orleans Casino, Las Vegas as only one example. Scratch-Off Addiction "Super Users"
I was actually an anti- scratch off guy for a long time. I mean look at the odds, they are actually not measureable because of the physical limitations. The tickets are made in batches of about 6 million, on average, and distributed around a given state. I have no idea if it is planned that sizeable prizes are evenly distributed among the many stacks sent to the many stores throughout a state, but basically, we are hoping a nice size prize happens to end up at the few we frequent in our corner o

Super Raffle/Best Michigan games ever?
Let me start by saying I LOVE RAFFLES! That said, $50 a ticket is pricey. Just two top prizes is a little thin too when you consider Pennsylvania used to offer four top prizes of 1 million dollars to each winner out of a possible total of 500,000 tickets sold at $20 each for their raffles. It was a lump sum payout. (minus taxes) Odds were 125,000 to 1. PA's raffle was held twice per year for about twenty years until this year. (Hope they bring it back for next New Years. Pennsylvania didn't

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Yep. So the new loophole to winning big seems to be becoming a lottery retailer, and mass scratching tickets. I can't believe they don't have a policy that blatantly forbids playing at one's own store. They want to destroy open books when a retailer closes, or returns the book for a credit, but they're okay with allowing retailers to scratch at their own store?!??!?! These retailers who won big are people who were likely doing research. The one who won the $2M on the $10
